great price! matches with last year pricing for the c2.

on a side note on my experience with the c2 and not the c3. gaming/media was amazing on this but using it for reading/productivity wasn't that great. I've since switched to the alienware 34" DWF and it is by far the best QD-OLED monitor I've used that is also priced at $799 atm.

It wouldn't matter if you had 100 bad panels in a row. That could have happened with any TV. Every single mass-produced product has some defective units. These are some of the best TVs on the market. This sort of thing happens to a small percentage of people. You just happened to be one of them. That doesn't make these a bad product.

Same here. I've used a 48" CX for 9712 hours as of right now, most of that for work time. I find the fears about reading/productivity to be greatly overblown. I find it nothing but a joy to use for work or play, and if my CX eventually dies or gets burn-in I will get a new one without question.
My CX started getting burn ins 3 years later so im getting the C3 to replace it. Amazing TV. Used it as a monitor and was great for gaming and programming

My flawless CX with almost 10k hours on it says he's probably a jealous Samsung QLED owner Wink

I just pulled the trigger on the 48" C3. I had been looking at the 48" or 55" C2 for around 2 years!
For $837, I decided to stop waiting and get the newer version instead of looking at the C2.

Earlier today, I ordered the LG UltraGear 48" Class OLED UHD Gaming Monitor for $650.00 from Costco. I read so many reviews of the UltraGear with brightness and dimming issues, that I figure I might end up returning it. Costco has that awesome return policy.

If I can successfully update firmware on the UltraGear, maybe I'll just keep both and have two awesome OLEDs!

I want to stack this with 4% CB from Cap1 Offers, but I'm not sure if it would work because the terms state:
"Use of other cpons... after selecting an offer and before making a purchase will invalidate your offer".

Anyone have any experience with this? Will the CB really not apply?

People need to hold the line so $700 becomes more common.

Not really go do a search for white lines down the left side top to bottom on C1
It is a very common and well known defect of these TV's
There are tons of reports of these panels going bad in the exact same way or in very similar ways.
These panels are crap and their QA is garbage tier
It's almost always white vertical line on the left side, tons of reports
These panels are just garbage and have known defects that will present within 12-14 months but most likely sooner
You should not expect to get much more than 500-600 hours out of these crap panels before they randomly develop vertical lines
You're still here? Are you sure you got an LG TV or LG fridge? Your complaints are more in line with their fridges than their OLEDS. I've owned a couple LG OLEDS along with other high level brands over the years. These OLEDS are by far the best ive owned & have never heard the kind of complaints from any online forums or customers, or anyone i know personally that own these sets.

Your rants are like ranting how Toyota make POS cars and notoriously unreliable. That's what you sound like. Just maybe you have super bad luck or LG kept sending you back the same tv you returned.

Got an lg cx and a lg c1. Had them and use them daily since they were released. Never had any issue with either

I think this is the best price you'll see for a while

I got my 42" C2 for 750 after urlhasbeenblocked (purchased for 999) late last year.. The 750 price only existed for a single day and I got lucky to even see it.

I use the 42" as my main monitor and generally now use it over my 165/144 hz monitors for gaming just because OLED looks so much bette and 120hz is still really damn good (i have a 4090 so 4k gaming is worth it for my own case.. i also do video editing which is why i have 4090 setups in the first place)

It does seem like with the last couple models of OLED that the market is starting to hit saturation. I have a G2 55" in my bedroom and a c2 65" in my living room.

I would almost bet a "better deal" will come along at some point, but the point is "will you catch that better deal, and at what cost to your time and sanity?"

This is a really decent price, I doubt you'll have much remorse, but thee's surely a non-zero chance that we see lower prices than before.

If you really want this, i would just hop on it now.
Yeah I passed on that 42 for 750, hoping for it to drop below 700 and I never saw a deal as good again (maybe there were some quick ymmv deals, but if so I missed them). I wasn't that disappointed, as I can now get this C3 for 800 or keep waiting it out but it does feel like holding out isn't as rewarding these days, if the original deal is already really good.

I do believe you and you don't know about the law of averages if you say 100 bad panels in a row would make no difference.
This tech is defective trash
No way this is not a wide spread issue when 3 panels in a row all get lines
Plus all I hear is burn in and blue fade but those are not even an issue because these POS panels will never even last long enough to get anywhere near that point
I would also argue that the bigger the panels the more likely it will go bad
,3 panels and they all developed lines with barely any use at all
These things are hot garbage
Maybe smaller panels are less prone to these issues and maybe the C1's are more prone due to their design which is probably a defect in and of itself
I mean that the panel had nothing supporting it and it is paper thin they obviously had a lot of problems with this design because the G1 class that is meant to hang on the wall is thicker and so are all the new C and G class OLED'S now too.
LG must have learned something about making their TV's so thin
But I DGAF
I will never trust any of this OLED garbage ever again
Love and learn and hopefully micro LED will be here soon and not have so many problems because this isn't actually an acceptable technology at all
It's crap
65" C1 here, running strong for 1 year, best tv I've ever had.
You'll hear a million stories like mine, but not many like yours.
Sucks for you, don't you ever buy oled's, clearly not for you.

For the 42", this deal is $800 and from the other seller it came out to like $720. So $80 cheaper.

I had it in my cart when they were 139 sold and went to do something and came back and it was OOS with 145 sold.

Oh well, not meant for me to have a TV I guess. I'll continue using my iPad full time.

I'm curious why everyone wants the 42" so bad though. 48" is probably the better buy for ~$100 more than the $720 42" deal.

for me 42" is the perfect size for a monitor. not small but not huge where you have to turn your neck at every moment. 48" just seems a tad out of that spec.
