Packing tape. Not my specialty, but Staples has the same size roll for $2.19. x2, it's less than $5. Does the Scotch tape fart unicorn dust and provide me with 3 wishes, or what's the justification for the higher price?

Tapes vary in adhesive quality and plastic thickness and quality. Cheap tapes are thin, flaky, and don't hold. Quality tapes are more durable and hold much better.

Staples is not known for good everyday prices on anything really : /

The real price for this usually is the $8 to $9 range so this is a deal but not as great as the "retail" price suggests. camel has shown this to be this price several times so if you need this now grab it but if you don't need it soon eh.

I'm seeing price tracking going back to 2011 for this item, was selling for much higher prices for that 12 years until recently.

1.9mil vs 3.1mil. Scotch is a lil thicker. It's been good to me compare to some thinner cheaper brands. You use less tape with quality tape. Cheaper tape you end up double taping.

The total goes down to just over $13 if you choose the Subscribe and Save option, but I think you may need to be a Prime member to do Subscribe and Save.
