TracFone will provide an unlocking code or codes to customers who request unlocking, provided the cellphones meet the following conditions:
* The cellphone must be in working condition.
* The cellphone has not been reported stolen or lost, and there are no indicators of fraud.
* For cellphones activated with TracFone prior to November 23, 2021 on any carrier network, the cellphone must have been active with TracFone Service for no fewer than twelve (12) months.
* For cellphones activated with TracFone on the T-Mobile or AT&T networks on or after November 23, 2021, the cellphone must have been active with TracFone Service for no fewer than twelve (12) months.
* For cellphones activated with new service on the Verizon network on or after November 23, 2021, at least sixty (60) days must have elapsed since the cellphone was activated. For any active cellphones, notification of the phone's unlock eligibility will be sent via SMS along with a link to the website where the unlock process can be accessed.

You could be jeopardizing your year of promotional service by not doing things correctly - I recommend putting sim back in original phone & when phone unlocks then move balance to the 11 using a new sim.

Safer to just pay for a month of cheap TF service and activate the old one - as long as you still have original sim.
I wanted to use this as a GPS tracker for my trailer and use a small solar panel to keep it charged.,

I just received it and have another higher end unlocked Samsung phone I want to put this SIM in.

1. Buy new phone (phone B)
2. Active new phone (B) using a new Tracfone account with referral code from own existing Tracfone account
3. Wait two months
4. Redeem rewards on new Tracfone account (phone B)
5. Remove phone B from new Tracfone acount
6. Add phone B to own existing Tracfone account
7. Chat with agent to merge credits from B into A
Please confirm that I got the steps correct so I won't mess up during the process. Thanks a lot!
