Good stuff. The lounge perks was one of the big attractions of going with the VX vs the CSR for now as the CSR lounges seem to be very limited. Doesn't VX have more partner lounges in more places than CSR?
I didn't want to get both cards (VX and CS'P') at the same time as that would be ~$8K worth of spending in 3 months. In a few months I'll get the CSP to complete the line up on the Chase side for the points perks, but the VX is a perfect fit right now and at 75K points it's still very reasonable.
Not sure as I haven't looked into chase lounges a lot yet. I see lounges are not included in the CSP, just the $550 a year Chase Sapphire Reserve. Even with the $300 travel credit on the CSR you are still $250 in the hole. Are their lounges that much better? I heard the American Express ones are much better.
Venture x has the Priority Pass in addition to the capital one lounges, and the venture X gives you 3 additional authorized users free of charge. Chase wants $75 each for authorized users on the csr.
When it comes to the point system of the CSP and CSR I'm not seeing any benefits over the Venture X. I see eating out you get 3X but I get that with my free capital one savor card.
I pre qualified for the CSP and CSR. I'm waiting for those to offer more than the current 60k.

Agreed and you're right about all that you've mentioned with the CSR being more expensive and charging extra to add users, which is also why I think the VX is better for those not in the hot spots.
The only reason I'm getting the CSP in a few months is to complete my Chase trifecta so that I can get 1.25x extra on my points transfer. The other two Chase rewards cards are utilized a lot so having the CSP will be nice as those points sure do add up.
VX having the priority pass perk is huge as you're right that's only offered on the expensive CSR.
