i placed the order for the digital gift card first and typed in the code. took 5 minutes then i got the gift card and an email saying i got my promotional balance applied to my account instantly.
went to buy the physical gift card next and the $15 credit applied knocking that down to $85 along with giving another $10 promo credit

I clipped a $10 Amazon credit offer on the physical Apple gift card and it won't apply the promo code for $15 now. Be careful not to clip that $10 deal

Yea that's what happen to me with the e-gift but they still gave me the promo. It should work . It still shows up on the main page just not when you check out

Used to be able to buy non-Amazon gift cards using Amazon gift card balance. The checkou page even shows "Your gift card balance can't be applied to orders that contain Amazon.com or Visa or Mastercard gift cards, or collectible coins." But it won't let me use Amazon gift card balance on the DSW card. The rules must have changed.

Last year around christmas they had them at $50 for $35. If you have an executive membership and use a Chase Freedom card with 5% back at wholesale clubs this quarter, that means you can buy as many as you want for what works out to 35% off! Not sure if they'll do it again this year, but worth keeping an eye out for. I stocked up last year.

This worked, thanks! Paid $90 with discover for the $100 Apple gift card and got the $15 Amazon credit. It's also 5% cash back with discover this quarter, not sure if it works with gift cards but a good deal regardless

Well the day is almost over. Still no resolution for the Lyft card issue. I tried chat one last time. Got bounced between a total of 5 agents and finally quit when they wanted to shift me to phone support 40 minutes later. All I was calling to do was cancel my order. They couldn't even do that.

So I cancelled my prime membership online. As a user who thinks Prime video sucks and doesn't use gaming, Amazon's competitive advantage for me was it's customer service. That's no longer the case. I can get free shipping for most items I purchase on Amazon or pay for Walmart+ or a gazillion other options. Thanks Amazon. It was a good 20 something years.

I'll update this thread if/when I get a resolution for Lyft gift card.

At this point, we need to hope it's escalated up high to the right people...It's crazy to think, they're holding onto thousands of our dollars...and we have nothing to show for it.

I very highly doubt that the Amazon representatives are actually escalating the matter to the division, who can effectively resolve the matter, based on their nonchalant attempts to misattribute blame to an "unintended party" having used the gift card and lack of opportunity to issue a refund.

They are essentially begging people to initiate a chargeback rather than accepting responsibility for resolving the issue.

Amazon has failed to properly train its customer support staff to maintain healthy relationships with customers by effectively and promptly resolving issues rather than deflecting and project ineptitude.

I am extremely disappointed in this entire experience with Amazon.

Does anyone know how long does it take to get delivered a digital gift card? I bought $500 Apple digital gift card this morning, it has not delivered yet and says still processing. I thought it delivers like in 5min. Thanks!
