I'll update this thread if/when I get a resolution for Lyft gift card.

You can just contact your credit card and dispute it as a chargeback for not receiving your goods. Should be open and shut case. Just have to list you repeatedly tried to contact them to resolve it. Credit card issuers fine merchants like $15 for disputes, so gives slight satisfaction of "getting even" with merchants with crap customer service.

You redeem it and it goes into your Apple Balance, and your Apple Balance can be used to buy devices in the Apple Store.

I will try the CC dispute if the Lyft code does not work by tomorrow. Knowing how the customer service is these days, I doubt a rep can resolve it. They will not care and hope the customer gives up after being bounced around between various reps. I have seen this before with other merchants and banks. I was a faithful Chase bank customer but closed most of my accounts, after a similar experience.

Mine failed too. First it said I can't add a gift card without a valid credit card, so I had to add one, even though there was already a Visa there. Then it said not valid, and I had to send screenshots to the rep, who would forward it, supposedly, making me endure the awful Zendesk email threads. Two different reps said I needed to take shots of the back of the card, and I had to explain how an e-card works. So I'm not holding my breath for a resolution, even if it's a mass issue and not a good PR move when people start going public and demanding chargebacks. There's really something. I doubt the card company is talking to Lyft to make sure things work properly, too, but who would they talk to? Lyft is already pretty gutted, and trying to survive while Uber is dominating it. They can spend many millions in lobbying to keep drivers from getting employee status, but not to be able to load a simple gift card correctly.

Was having issue with redeeming lyft code Friday all day.
Tried it again Saturday AM Eastern time n the code went thru, $100 added to my account.

Thank you for the message. I just tried at 10:00 PM PST and it loaded the $100 to the LYFT app. I think its working now. I suggest everyone to try it now and it should work. Sorry to those who spent hours talking to reps. What a farked up way to sell gift cards. They could have put a disclaimer or something.

thats not true. you can use apple gift cards loaded on your account to buy apple devices.

Is this only 1 per customer ? I added 5, 100 dollar each giftcard under my Amazon account and I can only see 15 dollar credit. not 15 dollar for every 100 dollar

I was finally able to claim the Lyft GC purchased from Amazon. Try this: Instead of copying and paste the GC# & pin into Lyft, try typing out the entire GC# & pin in the gift cards section (with no spaces in between the numbers) in the app. The instruction given by Amazon is also wrong. The actual instruction should be:

1. Open the Lyft app
2. Tap the menu icon in the top left corner
3. Tap 'Gift card' and follow the instructions in the app
