These decks aren't high power, but the rares and mythics are worth more than $14. I believe that Gondor is worth about $15 and Mordor is worth about $10.

I'm just starting to get back onto mtgb after not playing since the 90s. Is this like a collectors item? Wondering if I should buy two sets. One to keep and one to play with.

If they're selling them for $14, they're probably not going to be collectors items, but it sounds like they're pretty fun to play.

These are great on so many fronts, great for begginers as everyone knows LOTR, the game concepts are easy to explain in context of a story, scenarios and characters new players are familiar with.

This comes with two decks, so two people can play against each other immediately. These cards are also compatible with other MTG cards.
