In store only, Home Depot has a choice of this or a Chamberlain model for 50% off.

The Chamberlain model is 1/2 HP

Had a high-end Chamberlain, ran into problems after about a year. Ripped it out, installed a flagship Genie. Much happier now.

Also note that Chamberlain "smart" only works with their app, no assistants (Alexa/Siri/Google).
Anyone promoting Chamberlain in this thread is either a shill or clueless. Company was sold to total scum Blackstone. Avoid avoid avoid. Their model is to do everything in their power to get you into a subscription, watching ads, and giving them data to sell.
Bought this from last years sale. Already having problems with it. Warranty is covering the parts, but the labor is more than a whole new unit. I wouldn't buy again

I know this thread is about openers but can someone give me information on quality garage doors at a good price? I need to replace two.

Buy the Chamberlain over the Genie. Even though it's only 1/2hp, that's more than enough for today's steel garage doors. Better in every way.
It seems there is a HP debate with door openers, meaning people assume more HP is better, but in reality if a door is balanced (with springs) then it shouldn't take that much force/power to move the door.

As far as the Genie/Chamberlain goes, I've had both, but can't form an opinion on if one is better than the other. That said I will say that I'd choose belt over chain every day of the week due to (less) noise.

Right now I have 2 Chamberlain units which I had installed around a year ago along with brand new doors. These units have integrated MyQ as well as cameras. One of the cameras recently decided it didn't like my wifi, but I haven't bothered to troubleshoot (Even though they are monitored/controlled by the same app, they are treated as 2 separate devices. What's odd is that MyQ still works on the affected opener, but the camera doesn't)

Get local quotes. Get several. We bought a (new to us) house 18 months ago and the existing doors (2, single) were kind of beat up, didn't sit right on the garage floor and the openers were trash. Originally I thought I'd just replace them myself - I've installed openers before, but not actual doors, however it looked as if it wasn't a horrible project especially for a relatively advanced DIYer such as myself (not bragging). Eventually I said screw that and opted to hire out.

MAN what a spread in pricing - and that's with me providing the openers (got on sale @ Costco BTW). That's why I said to get multiple quotes, there are still shysters out there. They seemed to each have their own brand they repped ( a lot like roofing, window or fence companies), which made comparing quotes difficult, but at least you'll know if someone is taking you for a ride if they are much higher than the rest.

Bought this from home depot last Friday, fairly easy installation and it's working great.

This is very good price. I installed 2 Craftsman garage opener from Sears in 1999 and still going strong. They are expensive back then around $400 each.

I had been needing to replace our garage door opener for a few months. I had added a MyQ Hub to it and it worked great for a year or so, then I had trouble even getting it to open/close with our remotes. MyQ was decent, but I really wanted something that would integrate easily with Google Home, so I went with this Genie. It was fairly easy to install, took a bit longer than I initially expected because I did it pretty much on my own. Sure it may not feel as robust as the previous opener(Liftmaster with 1 piece rail), but man is it quiet. I was able to use the existing wiring so that made it so much easier. No issues yet, installing a keypad and the light bulbs I ordered and expecting this to be good for a while.

One other thing to note, if you add this to Google Home you'll need to add a 4 digit PIN. It'll ask you to confirm your PIN if you ask Google to open/close the garage door. If the PIN you entered during set up has a 0 as the first digit (for example 0578), you'll need to verify the PIN without the 0 ("578").

The state of garage door openers is horrible. You've basically got Chamberlin and Genie and that is it...
Very true. I don't think they will allow any integration to their app - this is a security vulnerability and a potential liability for them. No company in their right mind would expose themselves to integrations with other platforms.
There are plenty of other options and some coming from China and Europe too, some even through Assa-Abloy connected companies. This market is going to change tremendously overnight, so stay tuned.

Genie is doing already to google/akexa.

Even myq did some level with google and allowed amazon and many other parties even now -13 partners (if they get compromised myq too). So its not just security but probably for their monetary reasons.
