No regrets!
1) Does your internet go out until you unplug and plug back in your tmobile unit? This happens to me at least weekly, and I don't see a way around it because unlike Comcast where you can buy your own modem, I'm still stuck with tmobile's hotspot unit even using my own router.
2) Do you have anything that requires a reliable always-on connection? For example, I don't find it a reliable solution for my security cameras, smart garage openers, etc. I agree that tmobile is perfectly adequate for streaming on plenty of devices if you don't mind restarting your unit when you have issues.

On Spectrum, for internet, I pay a flat $39.99 per month - no extra taxes or fees.

First, I called Spectrum and beat them up on price. First lady couldn't do anything, transferred me to retentions. I got 100mpbs down to $29.95 and they wouldn't go any lower. Still, saved me $10 a month. Then I ordered the T-mobile deal. So, if I don't like it, I can still keep Spectrum at a discount.
Thanks!
1. Discussions about speed and slowdowns are totally irrelevant. I have a consistent ~200-250 down. It completely depends on your tower and your area. You'd need to trial the service.
2. I never have to restart my cellular gateway. It's on 24/7. I suspect the people who have to restart it are sitting between two towers with poor connections to one or the other. One connection becomes faint and a restart forces the device to find the other tower. I have a line of sight to a tower so it's good here. T-Mobile does offer a positioning app to find the best location to place the gateway.
3. I feel like the post title should include that you need a pricey T-Mobile cellular line to get the $30 rate. I'm an MVNO guy so I wasted a bit of time thinking I could my normal $50 rate down to $30. I thought it was a $30 sale on normal service, but it's a TV offer on top of the normal cost. Thanks for the post though.
i've been using t-mobile family plan for over 10 years, so i logged in and entered home my address, it shows 3 plans: 150gb for $75 / month, 200gb for $100 / month, 300gb for $150 / month.... the url has selectedhintplan=HILT150TE at the end.
When i removed "selectedhintplan=HILT150TE" from url, it shows regular price $50

And this is my second home internet line and got my first around a month ago and haven't received my $150 gift card if we can get a second internet bonus sign up?

Another reason for using your own WiFi router is you can place it in a central location in your home. You then run and connect it with an Ethernet cable to your Tmobile home internet device which is best located near a window at the side or corner of your home for best reception.
