Just ordered. I have the service already in Los Angeles for $40 a month - and it works great! A T-Mobile rep said I could get this deal for $30 a month with the TV. All I have to do is add a new home internet line and once I get the new modem/router then I suspend my old $40 a month home internet line for 90 days, which costs $10 to suspend. Then, after the 90 days, I can cancel my old line. But that locks me into $30 a month for life with this new line of home internet service and I get the TV! Hope that helps others who already have this internet service.

I have tmobile home internet because I can't get fiber/cable where I live. If you live out in the country like me, its amazing sompared to the other options. I regularly get 300mbps down. It also regularly slows down significantly, sometimes under 20mbps, and the tmobile unit regularly crashes and has to be restarted. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has access to cable/fiber at their address unless they already have a tmobile cell line and really need that $30 rate over reliable internet. The issue isn't average overall speed, its reliability of both the hardware and speed at a particular time. Also there are weird quirks like it gives me an IP address a thousand miles away.

I have both Starlink and T-Mobile, I'm tempted to drop Starlink and switch to T-Mobile due to price and being better with online gaming but it does drop to 5mbps randomly during busy times.

Average about 75mbps with 250mbps peaks 5mbps lows on TMobile

Average about 150mbps with 350mbps peaks 100mbps lows with Starlink

The post is not correct when it says any voice line plan is acceptable.

From T-mobile:

"T-Mobile customers who add 5G home internet can pay as little as $30/month with AutoPay and a Go5G Next, Go5G Plus or Magenta® Max voice line"
So no 55+ plan qualifies?

Maybe old wording?

Someone with Simple Choice plan said they saw the $20 discount.

If you scroll down and use the address box to check availability, it will just ask you to login to check out.

I ditched AT&T 1G, and I'm not looking back. I stream 2-3 HDTV's, 2 tablets, and 2 phone in a smart home. I'm not missing anything. I'm paying $30 for my first home, and found out my Summer home is covered too, I'm paying $50 a month on the second one, but the two beat paying $80 for one home. If it's available in your area, get it, and slowly switch everything over to T-mobile with unlimited 5G data, and if you like it, ditch the fiber/ cable. If it doesn't work for you just return it, and only pay for what you used.

No regrets!
Glad it's working really well for you! Two questions:
1) Does your internet go out until you unplug and plug back in your tmobile unit? This happens to me at least weekly, and I don't see a way around it because unlike Comcast where you can buy your own modem, I'm still stuck with tmobile's hotspot unit even using my own router.
2) Do you have anything that requires a reliable always-on connection? For example, I don't find it a reliable solution for my security cameras, smart garage openers, etc. I agree that tmobile is perfectly adequate for streaming on plenty of devices if you don't mind restarting your unit when you have issues.

I just ordered it and I already have existing TMO Internet service for $50/mo. Strange when I logged into my account on my computer and after entering my address to check availability the price says $50/mo, but on my phone it said to add to cart to see the price and when I did that it says $30. Chat with CS and he initially said I wasn't eligible because I wasn't on one of the said plans, but I told him I was able to see the price on my phone, after a few minutes he came back and said yes I should be able to order it for the new price and when I get the new line then I can cancel the existing one. He even ordered it for me with the promo and also waived the $35 activation fee. Let's see if this really works.

Be aware that this is treated like a mobile phone service for taxes and fees. In Santa Monica, Calif., the taxes and fees add an additional $5 per month to the $30.
On Spectrum, for internet, I pay a flat $39.99 per month - no extra taxes or fees.

Here's what I did:

First, I called Spectrum and beat them up on price. First lady couldn't do anything, transferred me to retentions. I got 100mpbs down to $29.95 and they wouldn't go any lower. Still, saved me $10 a month. Then I ordered the T-mobile deal. So, if I don't like it, I can still keep Spectrum at a discount.

Thanks!

Am I to understand that you cannot use a vpn with this? I have been told this twice.
You can use a VPN with it. You will not have a static IP. You'll be behind CGNAT.

Some thoughts:

1. Discussions about speed and slowdowns are totally irrelevant. I have a consistent ~200-250 down. It completely depends on your tower and your area. You'd need to trial the service.

2. I never have to restart my cellular gateway. It's on 24/7. I suspect the people who have to restart it are sitting between two towers with poor connections to one or the other. One connection becomes faint and a restart forces the device to find the other tower. I have a line of sight to a tower so it's good here. T-Mobile does offer a positioning app to find the best location to place the gateway.

3. I feel like the post title should include that you need a pricey T-Mobile cellular line to get the $30 rate. I'm an MVNO guy so I wasted a bit of time thinking I could my normal $50 rate down to $30. I thought it was a $30 sale on normal service, but it's a TV offer on top of the normal cost. Thanks for the post though.

Once again, T-mobile treating old customers like old shoes ....

i've been using t-mobile family plan for over 10 years, so i logged in and entered home my address, it shows 3 plans: 150gb for $75 / month, 200gb for $100 / month, 300gb for $150 / month.... the url has selectedhintplan=HILT150TE at the end.

When i removed "selectedhintplan=HILT150TE" from url, it shows regular price $50
That's their Internet Lite plan, which they claim is "For homes that aren't yet eligible for our unlimited T-Mobile 5G Home Internet service".

Anyone know if you ordered yesterday before the tv offer was available if you can just use the code for the tv instead of the blink security system?

And this is my second home internet line and got my first around a month ago and haven't received my $150 gift card if we can get a second internet bonus sign up?

You do not need to use the WiFi hotspot on the home internet device. I have the tmobile Arcadyan KVD21 and using tmobile internet app, I can change the hotspot name/password to something I will not use(TMJunk) and limit it to 5 GHz band. I plug my Asus WiFi router into the tmobile Arcadyan Ethernet port and my Asus communicates through WiFi to the security cameras and IoT devices on my own local network. My Asus router has been stable connected to the Tmobile Arcadyan. I have never needed to unplug and replug it into the Arcadyan.
Another reason for using your own WiFi router is you can place it in a central location in your home. You then run and connect it with an Ethernet cable to your Tmobile home internet device which is best located near a window at the side or corner of your home for best reception.

Any luck stacking this on top of the $25 a month deal? My mom has been on that one. I'm trying to lock $30 a month in for myself too.

I'm in S Cal. Tmo internet is exceptionally good in my hood...120 min, 250 nominal, 630 max. Static ping is under 25 mS. Has anyone used this TV? How's durability? I don't need bells and whistles. Will not be connected to the internet so no free marketing data for AMZN.

TIA,
F
