Just ordered. I have the service already in Los Angeles for $40 a month - and it works great! A T-Mobile rep said I could get this deal for $30 a month with the TV. All I have to do is add a new home internet line and once I get the new modem/router then I suspend my old $40 a month home internet line for 90 days, which costs $10 to suspend. Then, after the 90 days, I can cancel my old line. But that locks me into $30 a month for life with this new line of home internet service and I get the TV! Hope that helps others who already have this internet service.

I have tmobile home internet because I can't get fiber/cable where I live. If you live out in the country like me, its amazing sompared to the other options. I regularly get 300mbps down. It also regularly slows down significantly, sometimes under 20mbps, and the tmobile unit regularly crashes and has to be restarted. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has access to cable/fiber at their address unless they already have a tmobile cell line and really need that $30 rate over reliable internet. The issue isn't average overall speed, its reliability of both the hardware and speed at a particular time. Also there are weird quirks like it gives me an IP address a thousand miles away.

Maybe old wording?

Someone with Simple Choice plan said they saw the $20 discount.

If you scroll down and use the address box to check availability, it will just ask you to login to check out.
Thanks for the thoughts. When I tried to log into the account, it would just take me back to the log in page, full circle, even though I could log in to my tmobile account generally.

Some thoughts:

1. Discussions about speed and slowdowns are totally irrelevant. I have a consistent ~200-250 down. It completely depends on your tower and your area. You'd need to trial the service.

2. I never have to restart my cellular gateway. It's on 24/7. I suspect the people who have to restart it are sitting between two towers with poor connections to one or the other. One connection becomes faint and a restart forces the device to find the other tower. I have a line of sight to a tower so it's good here. T-Mobile does offer a positioning app to find the best location to place the gateway.

3. I feel like the post title should include that you need a pricey T-Mobile cellular line to get the $30 rate. I'm an MVNO guy so I wasted a bit of time thinking I could my normal $50 rate down to $30. I thought it was a $30 sale on normal service, but it's a TV offer on top of the normal cost. Thanks for the post though.
I've had the service for about half a year and my download speeds are crazy. Consistently 500 down and 150-200 up. I've never had to power my gateway down for any reason.

For anyone in the Tampa Bay area I would think twice switching to T-Mobile 5G unless you can get the free TV and cancel.

I signed up a few months back and what started as an occasional glitch has become a regular occurrence every other night where I lose service, especially today that a lot of people are home I lost service 4-5 times within two hours and my modem is right next to a big window.

I just ordered an installation for next week with Frontier fiber optic because I work from home sometimes and can not trust the stability of T-Mobile 5G service.

Can I use my own router along with the Tmobile home internet modem?

100% no problem?

Thanks.
You can add a router by connecting it to the TMO's LAN port. Don't know if you can disable the TMO's built-in WiFi with this TMO unit.

Glad to hear its working for other people, perhaps there's something wrong with my Arcadyan then. I only use the Arcadyan as the modem, I use my own router and that never crashes, just loses internet connectivity.

Please help!!! Would LOVE this deal as we pay $90 a month with Charter for home internet.
When I click the link it is showing $50. I read the tread again, so I see I need to have a voice line as well... how do I add a voice line to my cart??? We don't have anything Tmobile, so I am clueless.

My T-Mobile phone signal is crap at my house. Does that mean the Home Internet will be crap too?

You do not need to use the WiFi hotspot on the home internet device. I have the tmobile Arcadyan KVD21 and using tmobile internet app, I can change the hotspot name/password to something I will not use(TMJunk) and limit it to 5 GHz band. I plug my Asus WiFi router into the tmobile Arcadyan Ethernet port and my Asus communicates through WiFi to the security cameras and IoT devices on my own local network. My Asus router has been stable connected to the Tmobile Arcadyan. I have never needed to unplug and replug it into the Arcadyan.
Another reason for using your own WiFi router is you can place it in a central location in your home. You then run and connect it with an Ethernet cable to your Tmobile home internet device which is best located near a window at the side or corner of your home for best reception.
I use my own router which is hard-wired to the Arcadyan too. Both wifi networks regularly lose internet connectivity until I restart the Arcadyan. Perhaps my Arcadyan is bad.

I just placed my order. I have simple choice plan from ages ago.
It came out to $35 after a $20 discount. There is supposed to be another $5 discount if paid by debit/bank account.

I honestly doubt it's going to work since it says that you can't just cancel a line to add a new line to qualify within the time frame. Now if you had canceled a line or HINT more than 90 days ago before this promo appears, then yes, it'll work. The system will not let that happen. Suspending the old line is only temporary. Doesn't matter what the rep says. As someone who experienced it and is familiar with TMobiles promotion , you'd definitely need to reevaluate. Just looking out for ya!

Make sure you get the new white model - Arcadyan TMOG4AR - and not the old black one - Arcadyan KVD21. The new white one is much faster internet speeds.

Darn, my order says I'm getting the black one. But no reference to the device's model number. How do you "make sure" you get the newer model?

Yes. I know several people who use it in one or more different addresses
