Just ordered. I have the service already in Los Angeles for $40 a month - and it works great! A T-Mobile rep said I could get this deal for $30 a month with the TV. All I have to do is add a new home internet line and once I get the new modem/router then I suspend my old $40 a month home internet line for 90 days, which costs $10 to suspend. Then, after the 90 days, I can cancel my old line. But that locks me into $30 a month for life with this new line of home internet service and I get the TV! Hope that helps others who already have this internet service.

I have tmobile home internet because I can't get fiber/cable where I live. If you live out in the country like me, its amazing sompared to the other options. I regularly get 300mbps down. It also regularly slows down significantly, sometimes under 20mbps, and the tmobile unit regularly crashes and has to be restarted. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has access to cable/fiber at their address unless they already have a tmobile cell line and really need that $30 rate over reliable internet. The issue isn't average overall speed, its reliability of both the hardware and speed at a particular time. Also there are weird quirks like it gives me an IP address a thousand miles away.

You can add a router by connecting it to the TMO's LAN port. Don't know if you can disable the TMO's built-in WiFi with this TMO unit.
I guess I have to do some setting in my own router?

Make sure you get the new white model - Arcadyan TMOG4AR - and not the old black one - Arcadyan KVD21. The new white one is much faster internet speeds.
Anyway to check what model
You are getting prior to delivery? My order confirmation doesn't have a model number

Looks like I'm getting the black one. Let's hope it works ok

You can use a VPN with it. You will not have a static IP. You'll be behind CGNAT.
Static IP has nothing to do with CG-NAT.

That's like saying "your car is not a convertible, it's a Chevrolet."

If you go to an actual T-Mobile store to get the device, can you still get the free TV deal? Per website, it says for online orders only. Thanks!

I still have the $25/mo promotion last year. Use it as my backup internet for when Spectrum craps out and screaming kids want their YouTube videos on TV.

Any way to get this for $30/month now without being a current T-Mobile phone customer?

If one has a preexisting phone line with Tmo, I don't need to get another line to qualify for this deal, do I?

It boggles my mind when people think loyalty gets them anything. You've been happily paying them for 15 years, why would they cater to you?

Thanks for this. I got it 2 weeks ago. So I still qualify for the promo since it was within the 30 days.

Placed an order to try it out. Does it get the same speed as if I ran a speed test with my iPhone with t mobile service?
