Just ordered. I have the service already in Los Angeles for $40 a month - and it works great! A T-Mobile rep said I could get this deal for $30 a month with the TV. All I have to do is add a new home internet line and once I get the new modem/router then I suspend my old $40 a month home internet line for 90 days, which costs $10 to suspend. Then, after the 90 days, I can cancel my old line. But that locks me into $30 a month for life with this new line of home internet service and I get the TV! Hope that helps others who already have this internet service.

I have tmobile home internet because I can't get fiber/cable where I live. If you live out in the country like me, its amazing sompared to the other options. I regularly get 300mbps down. It also regularly slows down significantly, sometimes under 20mbps, and the tmobile unit regularly crashes and has to be restarted. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has access to cable/fiber at their address unless they already have a tmobile cell line and really need that $30 rate over reliable internet. The issue isn't average overall speed, its reliability of both the hardware and speed at a particular time. Also there are weird quirks like it gives me an IP address a thousand miles away.

I'd love to know how they calculate eligible addresses. We have 5g here, but every promo I check and they don't offer the home Internet at my service location.
It is very annoying. I ordered the service more than 2 years ago, still have it, and when I write exactly my same address, it says the service is not available at my location. I suppose the algorithm must have changed since I originally got it.

You couldn't pay me to take a fire tv. That thing is riddled with ads and crappy ui design. Not trying to be funny. or better yet its not good for old ppl. Everyone time i set of these up for a older client i get calls non stop about something not working cuz amazon defaults to their home screen before hdmi which leads them to clicking on shows they dont own.

That's slow compared to Xfinity. Although the price is tempting
Ya, we used to have 1G DL speeds from Cox and we were paying out our ass for that.

Strange at 300mb/s DL speed we haven't had any noticeable difference. And we have 6 peeps streaming all the time in my house with 3 boys who are megga gamers.

So far so good, no complaints here.

If I don't connect to the internet, can I set it up to turn ON and go directly to a broadcast channel like a traditional TV without dealing with those ads?

TIA,

I did this deal and after the fact I contacted support through the T-mobile app. The rep wasn't able to modify my order to specify the gateway. They canceled my order and replaced it with another order, but specifying to send the newer gateway that's supposed to be better.

Thanks for the clarification on this. Its weird because my moms address 2 miles away is eligible. Shes got 3 different internet provider options. Where i am its just one and i loathe them after being stuck for over a decade. Just stings that i can't seem to get another option....
If you can just use your mom address and take it to your house it'll work you can take it anywhere I hope it helps

I'm not currently a T-Mobile customer for cell phone service. What is the cheapest plan to qualify for this deal?

It says
"Note, you can find your assigned Home Internet billing phone number on your bill under "Connected Devices.""

Connected Devices where though? When I sign into the website it gives me the 3 T-Mobile phone lines as options to pick from.

Simple Choice, called in to ask about promo. Was told as Simple Choice only get $45/month for Home Internet. Argued online says $30 and when I logged into my personal account it showed $35 with a $20 discount. Then she put me on hold and discussed something with supervisor. Came back and said OK, I could get it for $30/month. I said done. Asked about the white router, stated she will check and ensured me I would get white router. Finally confirmed Fire TV included. We will see what happens when I get the bill...

So no 55+ plan qualifies?
Last month I checked in store Tmobile and they wanted $50 for the internet box because I am on a 55+ plan and said only the Go5G plans were $30 with autopay - strange since it was offered to me at the very beginning (last year?) for $30 as intro offer available to all Tmobile customers. So I said pass...

Today, for fun, I clicked on the Tmobile link the OP provided, entered my log in info and confirmed my address and it approved my $30 monthly fee after 14 trial days, free shipment of the box and (I assume) a free 50" TV. What a difference a month makes!
