Just ordered. I have the service already in Los Angeles for $40 a month - and it works great! A T-Mobile rep said I could get this deal for $30 a month with the TV. All I have to do is add a new home internet line and once I get the new modem/router then I suspend my old $40 a month home internet line for 90 days, which costs $10 to suspend. Then, after the 90 days, I can cancel my old line. But that locks me into $30 a month for life with this new line of home internet service and I get the TV! Hope that helps others who already have this internet service.

I have tmobile home internet because I can't get fiber/cable where I live. If you live out in the country like me, its amazing sompared to the other options. I regularly get 300mbps down. It also regularly slows down significantly, sometimes under 20mbps, and the tmobile unit regularly crashes and has to be restarted. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has access to cable/fiber at their address unless they already have a tmobile cell line and really need that $30 rate over reliable internet. The issue isn't average overall speed, its reliability of both the hardware and speed at a particular time.Also there are weird quirks like it gives me an IP address a thousand miles away.

I'm not a networking expert; just saying that with the regular T-Mobile Home Internet service you are behind carrier-grade NAT and will not obtain an IP that any service on the internet can use to connect to you.

If that's incorrect I would love to hear it, it would make my life easier.

That's correct. In order to receive inbound connections, you need a PUBLIC IP. It doesn't need to be a STATIC public IP, it can be a DYNAMIC public IP.

We've had this service for 3 years. The first-gen modems were awful, they constantly overheated and killed the internet several times a day. However, they did have internal batteries which made them a god-tier hotspot. We got the new 5G unit, and it's much more reliable, and only had a handful of 5-10 minute outages for about 18 months. Almost always getting 300/50 speeds, even after using over 1-2TB of data in a month. For what we started with out here in the sticks (limited radio internet for $80/mo), this service is great. The only issue is for online gaming, as I've had yet to witness a ping-rate under 50ms, and usually stuck around 90ms.

What's weird is our address does not qualify for this deal, nor do our neighbors address. I have a feeling this is one of those deals that's only used for advertising purposes, but very few people actually qualify for the deal. Just like those car dealer sales for a specific stock# that may/not have ever actually existed. Kinda sucks, and we don't even want the TV, just the discounted rate. Lame.
