Substantial weight advantage + technical improvements to the R6 ii.

The only advantage R5 has is pixels.

Where do you find R5 for +$400 more? You can get them used for around $2500 +/- $200 though if that's what you're referring to. I did get my R6 Mark II brand new for $1600 out the door (after taxes). That was a great deal 😊

Edit: Oh I see they have Refurbished R5 too for $2199. Wow that's a great deal.

Not sure if it is still available, but the refurb r5 is $2199 on canon website.

I got a new Canon R6 m2 with 20% loyalty discount with 24-105 f4 L lens bundle for 2719 plus taxes last week. Refurbished would save a few hundred more, but I prefer new anyway.
