I ordered one $100 Carls Jr gift card. It shows $51.50 with $50 off and $1.50 shipping fee. Once I clicked purchase button, the total amount in the confirmation became $101.5 for a $100 gift card! There is no discount at all. and I saw the $101.5 pending transaction in my credit card account. It's my first and only purchase.

I called the gift card customer support, the representative oversea first told me that promotion starts from 11/28 so I am not eligible, that's why I was charged for full price. I told him that the black Friday promotion on the website states valid from 11/24 to 11/27. After a few minutes on hold, he told me that when i use the card i will receive at Carls Jr store, I will receive item 50% off there. wtf. I told him just cancel my order and refund me. He said he could not cancel the order, the only thing he can do is create a ticket for his management team, my order cancellation still upon management approval.

What a mess.

Just went through the Carl's Jr website and click on gift card. Was able to order with 50% off.

Called one of the local Hardees and was told that Carl's Jr. will not work at Hardees. Manager on the phone sounded confident of that. I then found an old Hardees gift card with a $5.10 balance on it. and checked its balance on this Carl's Jr. site and it showed $5.10 on it also. So I am lost now. Looks like you can store a gift card on the Hardees app. Maybe someone can take a Carl's Jr. gift card and see if it will store on the Hardees app. Then we will have our final answer.

I recommend getting the $75s, not the $100s, it reduces your risk of each one getting hacked or lost.
