"T-Mobile unlocked" meaning it will have Tmo branding and Tmo apps not removable.

Also not sealed box because they need to open and run the Unlock app
No. If it is Tmobile unlocked, that means it is a Tmobile branded phone with Tmobile apps, but can be used on another compatible carrier. A better term is "Carrier locked" or "Carrier unlocked".

I don't recommend T-mobile version if you plan to do advanced features like bootloader unlocking, rooting, custom ROMs, or want to use dual SIM cards. If you convert it to stock Oxygen OS only it will work fine and remove T-mobile bloat.
Be careful converting it to stock OOS. The modem may not work. At least it's the case with OnePlus 9 Pro - the TMO variant uses a different modem than the non-TMO variant. After flashing ROM you also need to flash back certain partial ROM, which is a PITA

Pulled the trigger on the Woot deal despite USB 2.0 in 2023 and no wifi calling support on AT&T.

Any reasons to avoid this with Verizon?

No Slider like on Apple.

This is not a good deal (coming from a OP9 user.)

I finally pulled the trigger and bought this. I've been shopping for a good deal on a mobile phone for a 14-year old to use.

I read many reviews about this phone. I think at the original price or even with some discount, paying $500-650 USD for this phone is a bit of a headache.

At $270, a little over 1 year from its release date, I feel like this is a great deal.

It's priced more like a lower-mid range phone than a high mid-range phone.

Performance is good, the screen is good. We'll need to buy a case for it, but I think it can like for 3+ years of usage.

The biggest thing I don't like about this phone is that the chassis is made of plastic (?) according to a published review. Plastic for a cell phone is not ideal. But, I'll buy a case and it shouldn't be a huge issue.

Good deal for a decent phone.

I was looking hard at the Galaxy S23 FE @ $400 but I just don't think it's a significantly better phone to justify paying an additional $130. To put it into perspective, the S23 FE is 48% more expensive than the $270 OnePlus 10T.

This is T-Mobile unlocked. Does this phone work for Cricket Wireless? Used to have a T-Mobile unlocked OnePlus 7T. Cricket would not work with it. Wonder if it is still the case for this one.

How does this compare to Pixel 7a. Im really not in love with the 7a after coming from a 4xl and 5a. So thinking about abandoning ship.
Pro:

Doesn't overheat as much
Battery lasts longer
30% faster processor
500% faster charging
3 generations ahead in gorilla glass
Cheaper

Con:

No wireless charging.
generation behind pixel 7a in camera quality maybe even 2

Other:

Glass back instead of plastic.
Bigger and heavier

While I prefer the OnePlus substantially I personally wouldn't switch unless I was giving the 7a to someone else. Ultimately they are both from the same generation of phone at fairly similar price points so you won't see a huge difference like going up 3 generations.

It actually can be. I've done it with a Tmobile branded 7t carrier locked and bootloader locked. As long as it's paid off and a few other qualifications they will activate the oem unlock.

https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...ess-device [t-mobile.com]

Of coarse first you have to also go through the oneplus form to get the file needed to unlock the bootloader.

https://www.oneplus.com/us/unlock_token

It will take time. It took Tmobile a couple of weeks to get their blessing, and once that's done the oneplus unlock token takes exactly 2 weeks from the second it was submitted for them to get your unlock bin file. Once it's unlocked, you can relock and unlock all day long without ever needing the token again.
Typically that is the case but it seems to be different with the 10t.

https://xdaforums.com/t/ok-psa-st...s.4515835/

"This is just a PSA for anyone currently with T-Mobile, looking to upgrade or purchase from the carrier.

The T-Mobile exclusive model of the 10T 5G is CPH-2419 ... This is a T-Mobile model ONLY. It can be SIM unlocked through regular methods, ie. paying the full contract off, but that is ALL!

There is absolutely NO WAY to unlock the bootloader of this model, because FASTBOOT is completely disabled, and unable to be re-enabled through any method which is currently available!"
