The account must maintain a valid credit card on file for the entire duration of the 12-month plan period. For new lines, the 12-month plan period begins from the day the line is activated on the offer plan. The plan will be available for activation in the user dashboard for up to 6 months after the date of purchase. For existing lines, the 12-month plan period begins from the start of the next billing cycle after plan selection.

Also the phone can be used in other countries if you spend time in other countries and want to purchase a service there rather than paying exorbitant "international roaming" fees.
iPhone15 supports two services at once (but only if it's unlocked). You need a service that supports the digital SIM built-in to iPhone; this model no longer takes the nano-SIM cards for service.

Mint is great if T-Mobile works for you, I liked them until the coverage didn't work for me. Straight Talk as fine on AT&T's network (not sure about now), but pricy. Trying Red Pocket was a weeks-long disaster when they couldn't figure out how to setup my phone but kept saying they could, and Boost billed me multiple times for a SIM I never used because I never even received it. Visible looks interesting, and Fi makes sense for some people. MVNOs are not the answer if you want a subsidized, current-gen phone.
After a year, I moved back to tmobile and got denied the port in rebate. At the time, they said a # is limited to once in a lifetime port in rebate.
