That would be Verizon or T-Mobile. Since they charge only $25 a month on a monthly plan, the saving is only $50 over a year or $4.16 a month. Does not seem to be much of a slick deal.

It's a fair assessment, but Verizon is the only carrier that works for me. Plus, US Mobile doesn't throttle the speed like Visible. I have been with USMobile for exactly 1 year now and the experience is super. Additional $50 saving is a plus for me.

Thanks for the catch, yes its T-mo, fixed. US mobile is already one of the lowest cost MVNO so you'll not see giant savings over their normal rates. Compare $250/yr 30GB to Slickdeals to fav Red Pocket whose normal price of $360 25GB was on sale LY for $300.

I'm switching from t mobile, any tips? I own my phones, so it's the best deal I can find (t mobile paid $800 for each of my phones with a port in, and then I'm leaving right away) it seems after the data is throttled, you still get 1mbps, which is better than most…. Should I go for the more expensive plan?

Do they throttle it down to unusable speeds all the time or just when the network is congested?

I've been looking at MVNO's in the hope that they would save me money over T-Mobile/Verizon. Buying a new iPhone 15 from Apple and paying $75 (3 lines at $25) a month with 5 GB Hotspot vs T-Mobile Unlimited with 30GB Hotspot and financing a phone through them for the 24 months work s out to be almost the same. Factoring in the trade in value for iPhone 13/pro/max, it does not seem to make any sense to go with a MVNO vs T-Mobile. Even Verizon is not much more (although 3 years vs 2 years, which I want to avoid). Maybe I am missing something? if I am, I'd be glad to be pointed in the right direction as I would love to get away from a 2-year "contract".
One benefit to consider when deciding to buy your phone directly from Apple is that you start with a fully-capable unlocked phone. Meaning you are never TIED to AT&T or VZ or whichever carrier locks you into a 2- or 3-year deal. You can switch at any time.

Also the phone can be used in other countries if you spend time in other countries and want to purchase a service there rather than paying exorbitant "international roaming" fees.
iPhone15 supports two services at once (but only if it's unlocked). You need a service that supports the digital SIM built-in to iPhone; this model no longer takes the nano-SIM cards for service.

What's your total cost per line per year including taxes on T-Mobile vs MVNO?
Then we know how much you're saving?

Do you live in/around a metro or rural area?
While you're away on road, how's the US mobile service?
How's the customer service?

3 lines on T-Mobile is $150. Then the cost of a new iPhone 15, 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max at $126 per month. Reduced by the trade in value of a 13, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max (-118) per month. Total is about $160 a month for unlimited and three new devices . The other option is to trade in the 3 SE's for 830 credit each and then trade the 13's into Apple. Issue with that one is that the tracfone IMEI's don't seem to work on the T-Mobile trade in website. Moving from Verizon as they are 3 year contracts now and the coverage at my home sucks.

It seems like everyone's preferences and situation are a little different. I happily used MVNOs for several years. I didn't mind buying phones outright (1 year old Android flagships), rather than being locked-in until a device was paid off. Then I moved to an area where T-Mobile and AT&T both have terrible coverage and there was no MVNO option better than Verizon Prepaid. I've been with them for going on 3 years now, 15GB (I'm usually on wifi) for $35, with their own support, should I need it. I keep looking but haven't found anything else that makes me want to pull the trigger. T-Mo may have improved here, but I think you need 3+ lines for any good deal, no? That doesn't work for me.

Mint is great if T-Mobile works for you, I liked them until the coverage didn't work for me. Straight Talk as fine on AT&T's network (not sure about now), but pricy. Trying Red Pocket was a weeks-long disaster when they couldn't figure out how to setup my phone but kept saying they could, and Boost billed me multiple times for a SIM I never used because I never even received it. Visible looks interesting, and Fi makes sense for some people. MVNOs are not the answer if you want a subsidized, current-gen phone.

I've found that I haven't been throttled as long as I don't go over my data threshold

A few years ago, I moved a line from verizon and tmobile paid off my phone. I moved it back to verizon after 6 months....

After a year, I moved back to tmobile and got denied the port in rebate. At the time, they said a # is limited to once in a lifetime port in rebate.

Very well summed up and you can add Metro by T-Mobile and Cricket wireless, both are MVNOs, with great coverage and customer service and they both have physical stores and one fixed prepaid cost without taxes.

Is this the same as Unlimited Starter $25/line/monthly?
