It's more than averaging temperatures or motion sensing. You can't guide air to a room, but you can create a comfort level definition which tells the HVAC to activate to maintain a room or rooms at a certain temperature. For instance, create a comfort level just for your bedroom at night. Tell Ecobee the sensors in other rooms will not participate. Focus only on the bedroom and maintain a temperature. No need with sensing the rest of house because they're not occupied.

Good price if you need them.

I just wish these did something more in Google Home... Seems like you'll need HomeKit or HomeAssistant to get feedback from them other than a temp reading (like a presence reading for more advanced automations, for example).

Was about to buy from amazon on sale for $79 which happens from time to time. Decided to check ecobee.com

Same price with free shipping, but a browser extension gave me this coupon code that knocked $20 more off.

M-D-20OFFHOMESENSORS

Been needing these for a couple of years to even out my bedroom temps. Hope it helps someone else save!
This is my ignorance but how do these help even out bedroom temps? Isn't it a product of your ducting? i.e. you can't guide air to a single room.

All it's able to do is average the temperatures. The bigger thing is it uses the motion sensors to know when someone isn't there so it can go into away mode

Great find. I'm slowly replacing the older ones. The Smart Sensors are far superior.

Battery is much better. Its occupancy range detection is wider. Its communication distance is better. I still have a couple of old ones being reported as losing connection even with a good battery. Never an issue with the new ones.

Great find OP, thanks! Sheesh these things are so overpriced, but they do the job!

Edit: FOOK! Didn't realize cashback could be used on the Shop Pay checkout since most sites I've used with Shop Pay don't do that. Missed a juicy 12% and can't use code again! Mad Ah well. Don't make my mistake!
