Don't forget that you're assuming 100% efficiency with your calculations. Using DC power, these are tested at 78% and with AC power, 81% efficiency.

edit: who thumbs down this? Help me understand. Do you not like the link? is there a better resource to answer or tax credit questions? Are you encouraging us not to provide resources for clarification to other posters? I'm still learning, but back when I joined Slickdeals, we were encouraged to help each other.

Am I understanding this correctly? This is a 2kwh battery? Meaning I have about 2000 watts I can use before it dies?

Just paid $999 for this deal off Amazon a week ago or so. It did come with a waterproof bag and get five percent cash back. Would amazon price price match this?

2 kW yes (1 +1 extra). As I understand it, whatever the device uses (rated watts) is how much it is uses an hour. So a 300 watt device takes 3.33 hours to use 1 kW. That same device can run for 6.66 total hours in this battery backup.

I have a rack with a 400watt load. Can I connect the UPS to this battery, then set a schedule to charge it during excess rooftop solar with my smart switched outlet to avoid paying higher tier electricity rates during peak hours? Thinking if that's possible it would pay itself off in a year or two at $0.56/kwh (with a rate increase on the way ugh) between 4pm and midnight.

Be aware that EcoFlow customer support is reportedly pretty awful. Read any of thier amazon reviews…bad ones are mostly due to terrible customer service.

Thier products are solid, but if you have an issue you really want to have something like Allstate protection or buy from someplace like Costco that covers you with a very generous return policy.

Maybe buy with a credit card that doubles the warranty as well.

If I also paired this with the portable solar panels, would this work well to power a shop/barn that is not wired for electric? Mostly just for power tools and lighting.
