Is there a reason to go to win11 now? i downgraded last year, because the ui changes frustrated me
Ui changes still suck, but there are some settings that can make it a LITTLE better. But at this point, I tell people to upgrade before too long. They're gonna end of life in 2025, so learn it now. You're either gonna be pissed off about some changes now, or in a a few years at Win10 end of life. My 2 cents is get it over with if you're not switching to Linux in protest. It's not that bad MOST of the time.

Even if you have older hardware, it's easy to install win11 if you want to, just google. I have it installed on a couple of gen6 core intel PCs and updates and everything work perfectly fine, except for any TPU-related security features if you're missing that.

Here's some helpful comments here on Win 11. Yes Microsoft sucks for making their newer products worse than the previous. I had to use Win 11 because my laptop came with it. FYI there's things you can do to improve the experience:
- a Github program called 'Explorer Patch': It allows you to use the old style taskbar and many other options (accessible via right clicking the toolbar and choosing Properties). It also allows you to open the new stupid Windows context menu in File Explorer because the Microsoft idiots thought it was a good idea to have text/icons for all other commands but only icons for the most commonly used Copy/Paste (a complaint that is shared by many other people on the internet)
- Open Shell, which is also open source, replaces the Start button with tonnes of options
- Winaero Tweaker is another great program, tonnes of customziation options for Windows
F-U Microsoft for taking away features that are so easy to keep. I hope they go bankrupt one day and a good widely used open source OS finally replaces Windows. Hoping for that day to arrive and watch Windows die.

At least for this, there is a comment complaining about the windows support saying it was a pirated version. Proceed at your own risk!

I will raise that. I have win11 on Gen3 Intel CPU. Use rufus to create a win 11 install USB with annoying CPU gen and tpm version checks already disabled. Can use this USB to upgrade in place your old PC.

Woot is owned by Amazon.

So....honestly, who knows if it's legit. Amazon sells so many counterfeits knowingly and willingly, because they choose to commingle inventory from third-party vendors instead of separating it. Less profit to be had that way.
This misinformation is constantly repeated so everyone believes it. Only 3rd party inventory is comingled (for faster shipping), not inventory sold by Amazon itself. Woot doesn't even sell 3rd party inventory.

These keys are legitimate.

Hi All,

They closed the free upgrade program technically many years ago. But there was a loophole. However that was blocked as of about a month and a half ago.
