Technically you don't have to pay extra for state, only if you e-file is it extra. If you want "free", you can print and mail. Otherwise, you pay about $20 for extra convenience. Fed e-file is always included in deluxe.

This is my comment from the thread last year. I bought deluxe desktop last year and did not have an issue with brokerages. According to the reply, deluxe desktop covers self employment too. This year I will be buying deluxe desktop but also attempting self employment. Anyone know if limitations with this?

Also if you have other credit card rewards promotions like discover 30% off on your account, buy it now.
I am able to use the discover 30% off promotion with the download version of deluxe fed+state+$10 Amazon gc for a total of $32.18. The discover 30% promotion also works on the disc version.

Don't forget many will qualify for the free Turbo Tax Premier with their Fidelity account. I have been getting it for free (digital download) for years. They send the emails out in December I think.
