Paid $74.99 last year for Home & Business. Paid $64.99 two years ago for Home & Business. Three years ago I paid $54.98 for Home & Business. All through Amazon.
The PC / Mac disc version in past years can be shared among 5 people, which greatly reduces the cost of the software. But I received this email from Turbo a couple of weeks ago and I'm not sure if the software is shareable anymore.
"To install and activate TurboTax 2023 on your computer, you'll be prompted to sign in to your existing Intuit Account (or create an account if you don't already have one) before entering your license code. The software won't install unless you sign in to your Intuit Account online. Importantly, your product license code can only be associated with one Intuit Account"
Last year, the sale on Dec 28 was only $1 less than the sale on Nov 26: for example the Fed+State deluxe+$10 amazon GC was $45.99 on Nov 26 2022 and $44.99 on Dec 28 2022. This year will most likely be the same and it will be $1 cheaper in Dec. Not sure if it is worth the wait for $1 saving with the risk that there may not be a Dec sale at all.

If you live in the same state, buy the disc. You can use it on multiple computers (5?). Whatever state you pick will be the same on all computers unless you pay for additional states. As noted previously, federal e-file is included, you must pay additional to e-file with your state. I do my state with TurboTax and use the PDF to file online on my state's website.
Neither of us have a dvd drive. Do people still buy disks?
Nothing says welcome to the holiday season like the annual slickdeal turbo tax thread. Let's spend hours arguing over if this year's deal is better than last.
It was $10 cheaper last year!!!
No it wasn't that didn't include the gift card!!!
Yes it did I'll send you a screen shot for proof!!!
Here is a link to the actual 2022 slickdeal thread with pricing as proof!!!
I still don't believe you!!!
Screw amazon I'm buying my copy at Costco. It's superior!!!
Ahh happy holidays guys. Don't ever change.

Anyone able to us Amazon Digital Credits for downloadable version? When I try to check out not showing as an option.
In the past, I've been able to use digital credits, but you have to order TT without the $10 gift card. For me, I'm happy to give up the $10 gift card to use a bunch of my free shipping credits that otherwise I have to force myself to use.
I got this email too. I was wondering about this. I have a son and daughter who live in different states. I usually file for them ( both Federal and State), Will I be able to do that with one Premiere and One Intuit account/license?
Hard to say for sure. Nobody has really tried this. But I think you can do what you want, because you are doing it yourself.
I saw the same email too, and I think our sharing code between friends is no longer possible.
Costco has it for the same price but $10 is for in-app add-on purchases, that you could use for state filing...however, I remember Costco discounts this further in December, close to Christmas....so worth the wait.

I take the email to mean if you use your intuit account and fill out a separate return it will work. They still let you do 5 returns, but they need to be tied to the same intuit account.
So you can't just give a copy to someone without also giving them your intuit login.
This is my comment from the thread last year. I bought deluxe desktop last year and did not have an issue with brokerages. According to the reply, deluxe desktop covers self employment too. This year I will be buying deluxe desktop but also attempting self employment. Anyone know if limitations with this?
I'm in a similar situation. It looks like all desktop versions have all of the forms you need but the interview/guidance varies by version. You'll be able to fill out Schedule C, Schedule SE, etc. with Deluxe but you'll probably have to do it in forms mode. If you want guidance you'll need to pay for Home and Business.

And it's $85.99 for this deal (with gift card).

Would appreciate any insights or thoughts on this
