The Dewalt screwdriver tested in the Project Farm video [youtu.be] was not this one; it was the DCF682N1 which cannot convert to pistol grip and does not have an adjustable clutch.

Bought this earlier this year for $109. Very happy with it.
Nice driver but it takes some getting used to twisting it to make it go.
It's a cross between a manual ratcheting bit driver and a 1/4" hex impact driver.
Works really well with those loooong screws in electrical outlets and switches.

These are great; but be advised that Dewalt has not done anything with the 8v line. There used to be a way underpowered 8v flash light, and thats it. Dewalt never did anything else with 8v.

This screw driver is great when you have to drive something more delicate or at an awkward angle, like over your head, or some where you can't even see.

I am glad I have one, but just be warned this tool may not be around long.

Think I saw this in a project farm video and it did ok. Not sure I want to pay 80 for something like this though.

I bought that screwdriver kit (DCF680N2) on Home Depot last night for $79 [homedepot.com], though it is currently shown as out of stock.

Doesn't one of them have a common issue when it doesn't operate correctly, anymore, or fails prematurely?

I'm saying it's a common issue, though, that a significant number of people have experienced, above and beyond a failure here or there, or a problem here or there.

Just couldn't remember what it was, and if it is this model, or the one before. Hopefully, someone can chime in.

I had one fail on me. DeWalt sent me a new one easily. It's my favorite tool for furniture, electronics, outlets, toys. Etc. The clutch feature is great. I have the adjustable screwdriver with two batteries. They are meant for small/light duty projects for when you don't need the XR driver.

I bought this a couple years ago on sale. I think I've used it once. Unless you have something where you need to do screw's all the time then just use regular screwdrivers.

It's a good price. This tool is mostly for electricians doing lots of outlets, electric cabinets, etc.

Is this one superior?
