Chamberlain got bought by notorious private equity firm Blackstone, and is extracting as much value as they can. I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't already started integrating planned obsolescence and cost reductions into the products. I bought my Chamberlain/Liftmaster this summer before the MyQ debacle, and I already regret it. My recommendation is to avoid, get something else.
