LMK if it's worth getting or if I will be annoyed it's not in a clamshell kit.

you don't you have to. you can just throw it in your chest/drawers. if you want buy box, then you need buy toughsystem 1.0 boxes.
For $67 its' gteat but no case or toolbox (but I don't have a tool box to carry, just my metal craftsman tool box with 4 drawer)
Mind you , Not a mechanic or anything crazy. Just a homeonwer to occasionally DIY some stuff but I hate buying crappy tools (but I don't need like commercial grade either! )

If you click through the seller and look at their seller info, you will see that Fleet Tool is CPO. Same company, not sure why they are using that alternate name.
here is the difference I saw
1/4 deep sockets This set skips 5/32 while 192 set skips 7/32
3/8 deep sockets This set skips 10 11 12 (There is 10 11 12 in 1/4 deep sockset anyway so no real skip in size there)
3 extension instead of 9. (those is not enough for spark plug changes, I could recommend buying the extension set from HF for $10 if you going to work on spark plug change)
No increase or decrease socket size vs 192 set having 3 (I actually a bit annoyed that the 192 set doesn't have a 3/8 to 1/2 increase socket, I was going to grab an increase/decrease set from HF for $5 anyway because of the missing size change)
No Hex or Torx bit set. there is a Trox socket set for $14 (https://a.co/d/htvp2vO). The Hex socket set doesn't have any good deals so far. if you don't need it immediately then you can wait for the LEXIVON hex socket set on sale (https://a.co/d/c7pSrIC)
No 1/4 Universal Joint. (i rarely use 1/4 universal joint)
1 spark plug vs 3 spark plug. the 5/8 sparkplug is enough for most car changes.
then it is down to where are you going to keep your set in the tool chest/cart or not.
if you going to put it into a tool chest/cart then this set is perfect since it comes with trays. if not maybe 192 is a better storage option for you. but does it justify the $70 dollar difference?
I am going to return my 192 to HD and switch to this since this set can fit perfectly in my tool chest. instead of laying around my tool chest.

Socket wise this set is a little less than the 192 and depending on your usage you might need to invest a little bit more money to make this set more complete
