here is the difference I saw
1/4 deep sockets This set skips 5/32 while 192 set skips 7/32
3/8 deep sockets This set skips 10 11 12 (There is 10 11 12 in 1/4 deep sockset anyway so no real skip in size there)
3 extension instead of 9. (those is not enough for spark plug changes, I could recommend buying the extension set from HF for $10 if you going to work on spark plug change)
No increase or decrease socket size vs 192 set having 3 (I actually a bit annoyed that the 192 set doesn't have a 3/8 to 1/2 increase socket, I was going to grab an increase/decrease set from HF for $5 anyway because of the missing size change)
No Hex or Torx bit set. there is a Trox socket set for $14 (https://a.co/d/htvp2vO). The Hex socket set doesn't have any good deals so far. if you don't need it immediately then you can wait for the LEXIVON hex socket set on sale (https://a.co/d/c7pSrIC)
No 1/4 Universal Joint. (i rarely use 1/4 universal joint)
1 spark plug vs 3 spark plug. the 5/8 sparkplug is enough for most car changes.
then it is down to where are you going to keep your set in the tool chest/cart or not.
if you going to put it into a tool chest/cart then this set is perfect since it comes with trays. if not maybe 192 is a better storage option for you. but does it justify the $70 dollar difference?
I am going to return my 192 to HD and switch to this since this set can fit perfectly in my tool chest. instead of laying around my tool chest.
IDK if I misread this but you don't seem to mention that the 192 kit socket sizes stop at 7/8 and 21mm while this kit has 2 more socket sizes above those, a total of 6 more LARGE sockets which are the most expensive to buy later if you need them... that's a significant difference from most kits. It's nice to have those 15/16", 1", 22mm, 24mm sockets sometimes, especially since they come with deep socket versions too (23mm would be nice, it does crop up and no SAE sizes approximate it).
I didn't look close at the other differences listed, but one of the most major positive points I noticed about this kit are those large sockets, so I am just pointing that out so no one misses it.
Edit: Nevermind this
I wish he had done a test with the sockets to see how much force they could take before rounding or breaking, if that happened before the socket breaking - and even more importantly what their tolerances are since that is usually the one thing, other than ratchet performance, that is a concern. It sucks when the socket tolerances are not good, can end up rounding a bolt with low force, as in the wrench testing. The only tolerance test was those wrenches, but his Dewalt kit didn't have any to test.
Of course if money isn't a big deal or you are planning to use them a lot, I honestly agree with him that paying 2-3x the price for a set that includes all the inbetween sizes and is high quality is worth it.. but when money IS a factor it's hard to recommend paying twice as much for a bunch of less common sizes that you may never need. And in that comparison, among the "reasonably prices" kits the Dewalt had a better selection of sizes too.
While I'm replying might as well address someone else saying to the original kit came with the 1.0 version of the toughbox, the versions seem to be mostly superficial and they're compatible with each other so it doesn't matter. If you can find a good deal on the 1.0 or the 2.0 box for these then more power to you, but for right now it's about $130 to assemble the tools and box.

when I compare i actually compare every single size in their listing and make sure i don't miss any, that is how i caught both sets skipped a different socket size in 1/4 deep socket
complete the list in the following link and I am 100% sure it has 24mm because I just used it another day. it is late and I am too lazy to go to my garage to look into the case again for others.

PS. I see how you misread, you only read the 3/8 sockets up to 7/8 and 21mm. but didn't read the 1/2 socket sizes for the 192 set.

This thread has been... Entertaining. Seeing what I assume is grown men arguing about who's tools are shinier. My favorite is those that assume everyone has 6+ cars or are all professional mechanics. I have 1 car. This till set is perfect. It's also $66.75 on Amazon as of right now. As in this second. Not in an hour when one is you is going to argue that the price is different.
