This tool set doesn't come with the case. It come with case, if you buy this model "DeWalt DWMT45226H 226 pc. Mechanics Tool Set w/ ToughSystem Large Case". The model "DeWalt DWMT45226H" look like it's using case "DEWALT TOUGHSYSTEM 2.0 Tool Box DS300 Large". That case is normally price about $85. I found the best price sale right now around $60 without shipping cost, but you could pickup for free near by store.

Ordered two sets from Amazon and both boxes arrived ripped, beat up and bulging in the centers. Opened them up and there were sockets and broken tray fragments all over the place. 5 out of 6 trays were broken and I was missing two sockets in one set and 4 sockets and an extension in the other. I would make one good set and return the other, but they trays are unusable.

Received today, all trays shattered as well. Very brittle plastic that didn't handle the cold.

Received my set late afternoon. FedEx guy just slammed the box on the floor by the front door, I heard it all the way from my kitchen which is 20ft away. I openned the box, luckily only a dozen sockets were dislodged and the 2 socket wrenches and the trays were still intact and no cracks. I understand that it is heavy and all… =/

I just received my order Tuesday morning (ordered on Sunday evening). I am in the Dallas area and it was shipped nearby form Arlington.

Everything looked good. No cracks in the 3 trays. There is no carrying case.

Alert: There were about 6 dislodged sockets in the bottom tray. Three were just loose and the others were missing. I looked under the middle tray and the final 3 sockets were jammed together and stuck underneath in a crevice. I pulled them out and now have a complete set! Awesome deal!

Guess UPS handled mine more carefully than FedEx for the guy a couple of posts above. nod Ordered via Ebay on Sunday and the box was just delivered. Box was perfectly square and nothing was out of place, broken or missing.

Thickest tray is roughly 3.5" high. The one that has only sockets. The rest are around 2" or so.

Now I just need to figure out what I'm going to do with the set since I really didn't need it. Damn SD effect... LMAO I do have a couple of almost empty drawers on one of my toolboxes, so I guess I'll just stick them in there so I'll have sets placed strategically around the garage and have one available immediately nearby when needed. Just received mine by UPS. All the trays were in good shape. All the pieces were present though the box was upside down so there were around a dozen sockets floating around.
Very happy with it! Great deal! Thanks OP!

Mine came broken. Gonna roll the dice one more time and see if I get a keeper. Looked like mine took a steel toe boot to the middle of the bottom tray.

Mine arrived with trays in tact today. Even got an extra plastic shard from someone else's tray on mine too. I would recommend everyone to double check all of the sockets are the correct sizes.

I was hoping the trays would fit into a regular 22" or 24" toolbox that I have lying around but they're too wide for any of those. I think for now, I'm just going to fashion some sort of handle for the cardboard box they shipped in and use that as the box to hold them in.

Ordered yesterday, just got mine today in Mpls. Saw the UPS guy use a dolly to bring it to the steps. Everything perfect and intact, only a few sockets out of place. Fits perfectly in my large TOUGHSYSTEM 1.0 BOX. Going to put the trays in my rolling tool bench though. Storing these in the TOUGHSYSTEM is dumb unless you're using mobile.

Received and no issue then items were out from 3rd tray, because the box was handled carefully "upside down" as the shipping label was on bottom side of the box. All trays are good. The outside box seems original packaging as it was almost same size as trays with cardboard packaging to fill the gap. Box has Made in Taiwan on it. And has label says Dewalt 226 MechTool Set DWMT45226.

Also, surprised it was shipped only few miles from home. Ordered yesterday and got "item shipped" email in less than 3 hrs.

UPS guy put it on his shoulder while delivering...it's 33 lbs per shipping label. UPS guy did good job on delivering this.

FYI mine arrived today and they put the damn things in upside down. I have shit one box all over the floor of my damn office.

Check your box when you open it and don't be an idiot like me.

arrived today all in place and in good shape. The box was a mess though.

Compared to the recent Hyper Tough deal at Walmart these are much better. Actually, stay on the ratchet properly. Likely perfect for any at-home job I will have / handle.

Got mine too.. sockets everywhere, need to reorganize them. I do have a dewalt extra long toughbox and it looks like it can fit 5 trays.. might have to get a regular size one when it goes on sale

You have this [homedepot.com]box?

When you put the socket trays in, I assume there is a decent amount of space left in the box? Enough for a deep tray [homedepot.com], maybe even ashallow tray [homedepot.com] too?

With all the damaged trays I haven't seen anyone mention tossing the trays and using socket rails. I think these are much more functional and take up less space too. I'm throwing out my trays in favor of these.
