This does get you thunderbolt 4, intel instead of amd, and better build quality for 50 bucks. I like how this can be upgraded with a second m2 ssd. It is only 12 gb of ram but can be upgraded.

For starters, even good sales don't typically get a i5-1235U at this price range (12th gen and benchmarks very well).
The IPS display is rated 300 but comes in a bit lower in real-world performance, which is much better than most laptops available at $300.
Another rarity at this price range is the Thunderbolt 4 and 802.11ax WiFi 6E.
It also has 3x USB-A 3.2 Gen2 ports, HDMI 2.1, Ethernet (very rare these days at $300) and 512GB NVMe with a second NVMe port available.
The only issue appears to be that it has one on-board SODIMM while the other is upgradeable, meaning that the most you can go is a single 16GB DDR4 SODIMM for 20GB total RAM. However, for many people in this price-range, 20GB is likely fine.
Pretty good for $315.
