I think I've heard good things about this track saw here but the only review on HD is less than stellar. Anyone willing to weigh in on the saw and/or deal?

I have it bought it on a deal a few months back with 2 60 in tracks. The saw has been great to knock down sheet goods. I used it to rip some 1.5 treated boards yesterday it made it but had to go slow and just listen to the saw. I would buy again! I've been using it with 6ah Bluetooth batteries

I just got this saw a few weeks ago. I have used it a handful of times. It's got plenty of power for hardwoods. The only drawback I have is the depth of cut. Maxes out at 2.25in, which is typical of tracksaws. It's mainly for cutting down sheet goods or for trimming off ends of a project that you need to be even across. I used it with a 4ah battery. I would imagine a 8ah would be much better.

I got this track saw a month ago without the battery but with extra tracks. Great saw but definitely need a 5ah battery or bigger. 2ah battery will not cut it so this is a good price with the larger battery.

Is this deal or your deal better? Or should I hold out for one that has a battery and charger? I'm not in the ridgid ecosystem.

Edit: I saw quantity go from 12 to 4 and just bit. I didn't on the last couple. 8 AH seems like overkill, and while I think the % discounts they state are bogus, I fell victim to it this time. They had a concurrent deal for $369 for track saw + 4AH +6AH+ and charger. Prob better for ppl like me, but that fake 45% got me.

This is the only combo on deal right now. No clue if the combo with tracks will again be on discount anytime soon.

However, adding tracks on top of this deal is just an extra $89, maybe less since the $89 gets you a full set of tracks.

The is a great deal. Been wanting the Ridgid track saw since release, but was worried my 4 batteries were all inadequate. This deal is OK without the battery, but with it is stellar! In for one. Ty OP.
