I spoke with the rep again and apparently the phone departments in targets in New York State are run by a third party company called "market source" they claim that no target in New York State will sell unlocked iPhones above iPhone 10. Has anyone been able to purchase this deal in New York State?

Called local Target AT&T service rep about the deal and was told it is for existing or new AT&T customers. Has anyone here been able to purchase the phone without being an existing or new AT&T customer? What I mean is that you can be using another carrier and still get the 50% off deal? Thanks.

I just asked for the phone and the sales rep stated it was an AT&T phone but did not verify. I purchased without any issues.

The sale is still on at Target. Picked up a 12 mini today.

I can't find a red pocket sim but I do have a ting sim. Will the ATT unlock trick work with that?

All the folks who downvoted this, these are the people who enjoy censorship and don't like to face the truth.
It is 100% true that Apple purposefully slow down older phones via updates, to get you to buy a new one. And even worse, they basically force those updates.

Went just now, no 64gb left, but they had 128's. $348 out the door for a 128gb Red iphone 12 with red card.

Put in a t-mobile sim, works great!
