Credit to Jonas3 (TU their comment below): Use code extra30 to bring final price down to 76.99. Works on lots of stuff I believe over $50.

If you do not need HDR support, there is a unit that is less expensive. See the post for it HERE.

TFW when one owns a mansion but are on slickdeals looking for an HDMI extender.
Have you ever tried pulling 400' of HDMI cable?
Correct. The protocol this sends over the cable (HDBaseT) won't be understood by routers and switches. But monoprice makes a few that would work. Just search for "hdmi ip"

These work great. I've been using a different one (av access) for several years for 4k@60Hz, HDR and IR passthrough and have had no issues even with cat5e cable. Make sure you're using good HDMI cables at either end though.

Should it be a single cable or I it can go through a switch? Thanks

Here's my issue - I have a 4k projector and amplifier/speakers across the room. plus rear powered speakers near the projector. If I place my Apple TV next to my projector, it is challenging to get the sound to the amp. Airplay doesnt work great. If I place the apple tv next to the amp, I need to get the 4k to the projector, which this can do. But then I need to extract the audio 5.1. Can I use the HDMI out on the transmitter to extract the front 2 channels audio? Then use the HDMI out on the receiver to separate the rear channel audio to the rear speakers and also send the 4k video to the projector? If so, does this unit have the ability to put a delay on the video or audio so I can sync the sound? Thanks

How is your 5.1 audio currently working? The amp should be handling all your surround sound so those rear speakers should be getting it's signal from the amp at the front

Would love some input from those who know more than I do. We need to have the same signal on 3 TVs -- one close to the source, 2 about 50-60 feet away. Someone in our non-profit org bought an HDMI extender from amazon that has 1 transmitter to multiple receivers and says it can extend 4K (uses CAT, requires CAT6, I believe). But on one of the distant TVs, the picture has random artifacts/flickers at 4K (we are using CAT6). I've tried changing all display settings/options, but nothing seems to resolve the issue. It's fine at 1080p. Could I use this Monoprice product for this use case, or is there a better option? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Thanks OP. Picked one up, at this price even if it's HDMI 2.0 18Gbps for 60hz vs HDMI 2.1 48Gbps for 4k 120hz, it's still a great kit for a great price in my book. I'll find a use for it one day Im sure lol.

Most of the wealthy people i've met are just as price conscious, if not more, than us proleriats.

I also find that people on Slick Deals comments are the most critical of every "deal" which provides great feedback when i'm comparing products. I think the cut-throat opinions of SD'ers are more valuable to me than saving a couple bucks most of the time .

Try swapping the 2 receivers first to see if the issue follows the possibly bad receiver, if it doesn't then you possibly have some bad cabling. If the flicker follows the receiver then you have a bad receiver

Could be a bad crimped cable, could be the receiver just not being able to push through much bandwidth. 4k uses 4x the bandwidth, so it's quite possible you're just maxing out the transmission specs. Sometimes it will say 4k capable, but there's a certain length it can go before degrading. Check the specs first.

You should be able to use code CYBER15 now, instead of BF15.
