I own the Hisense U8H and Samsung QN90A....and can ( and have) watched them back to back
The Samsung is a better display...though the Hisense was a better value
The Hisense offers incredible performance for the price...but there is a difference

I also own a Samsung QN90a that doesn't have those issues.
I agree with you on it being an awesome all around TV and additionally I only paid $600 (Clearance price) for it
Edit: I had concern with the narrow viewing angle of this VA panel. You can obviously just do the math, but ours is installed dead center on a 16 ft wide room - zero color distortion anywhere relevant in the room.
What's your experience with that on the new one? Don't get me wrong even with what I said about banding I WANT to pull the trigger for this but if that didn't improve, I was going to spend more on a Samsung s90C, Sony 93L, or a C3 or compromise with a 90L for 1000
