FYI, "Game Pass Core" is more or less the new name for "Xbox Live Gold".

From what I understand you can buy now and just wait until your ultimate expires and then put your 3 years in and convert.

I'd personally wait until getting close to expiration, it's usually pretty easy to find deals like this.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I was wondering if anyone knows this answer.
Is there a reason why I couldn't just buy 1 month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and keeping doing that rather than buy multiple years? Specifically this at $1.XX:

I know it says not stackable but I was thinking to buy a couple at a time and just add it to my account as it expires. There must be something I don't know about GPU or these type of 1 month subscription cards.

I have done this before but am looking for current updates. I saw on reddit someone had mentioned certain country like Turkey now won't let you apply multiple pass. Some have mentioned that you have to wait a week or two between claiming offers. Anyone that have done this recently can confirm?

I had just done the conversion right before I posted codes were from Turkey I didn't have no issues redeeming.

As far as stacking restrictions the only one I'm aware of are the free month of ultimate you have to wait for them to expire

i bought my 1 month code from Eneba today. Total was $2.70... my Paypal payment went through easily and the code redeemed no problem. The seller of my code was "Best Deals"

Conversion was 3:2

This worked well! Prices now are a bit higher ($38 for each 12 month) and 2.77 for the 1 month trial. Total works out to slightly less than $58 per year of ultimate.

Does this still work even at the current prices of 59.99 a year it is 180 for 2 years is still a bargain compared to full price.

I was able to get 25 months (2 years plus one month) of Xbox game pass ultimate for $91 total.

I started with an account with an expired subscription. (No current subscription to game pass ultimate)

I downloaded (on my phone) express vpn app and signed up for the one week free trial. I changed my location to India VPN.

I went to G2A website and purchased 3 x 12 month Xbox game pass core (India) codes, totaling $89

I logged into my Microsoft account on redeem.microsoft.com while on the India VPN and redeemed all codes for 3 years of game pass core. I now had a game pass core subscription with an expiration date of May 12 2027.

I then switched off VPN and refreshed my Microsoft account. It said my game pass ultimate subscription was expired and that I could get a 14 day trial for $1. I got the 14 day trial after which it said my current core subscription will be converted to ultimate with an expiration date of May 30 2026. Click ok. Boom I had game pass ultimate expiring May 30 2026. I then went and turned off recurring billing.

Don't forget to cancel the express vpn subscription also.
