They're not duds, this is just going to be the nature of a now guaranteed 3 holos/reverse holos in every pack as soon as SV became a thing.

If everyone has the rare cards, no one has the rare cards. Collectors that get them for completion love it, investors hate it.

Anything else you read on that beyond just "full of duds"? I mean are the pull rates objectively bad? Resealing? Not trying to interrogate, it's just that every TCG collector claims this about, well, most packs ever.

9 packs @ $29.99 = about $3.33/ pack. Plus all the card protector stuff in the ETB, Not bad deal, right? I got one each. I don't know why the Red one was always on sale. Does it have worse pulling rate than the purple one?

If these are the og scarlet and violet packs, I have read they are full of duds

Unless you need a trainer box the tin 2 packs are a much better deal per pack. $2.50 per pack or for those that still have 10% discounted GCs from last year essentially makes it $2.25 per pack.

I'm new to buying these cards for my kids. What's the general way things are priced, meaning how many cards per pack and what's a good price per card?
ie what are foil cards and booster packs?

My advice is to go to a local card store and have them explain it all. That's what I did and it all made sense after.

I dont collect but tempted to buy for the trinkets and get all packets graded and sealed for a PSA 10 and HODL for 25 years.

A pack has 10 cards and cost 5 bucks. Everything else has some number of packs in it.
