If you customize it to 16GB DRAM, 512GB SSD, and BrightView screen, same as the Costco deal, https://slickdeals.net/f/17059279-hp-pavilion-15-6-touchscreen-laptop-13th-gen-intel-core-i5-1335u-1080p-windows-11-499-99-at-costco?v=1&src=frontpage, you get $509.99, $10 more than Costco's. Considering Costco's better return policy and 2-year warranty, I lean toward buying from Costco
Looks pretty decent considering the entire market. It's crazy how expensive prices have gotten for a basic laptop. Can't find anything that fits the bill of amd, non soldered ram, and a backlit keyboard that doesn't bend you over.
Have got laptop from HP still running great.. one is from yr 2011 and one from yr 2015.. No issues except now windows 11 OS upgrade

What's the best cashback & or coupons for HP.com? You can add touch screen to this for $70 more.

Pretty decent deal. One thing you may consider is the $90 upgrade for the 300-nits display. That not only has higher brightness but also 100% sRGB color gamut, better contrast ratio and better calibration out of the box.

HP is hot garbage. Too many instances of something breaking within a year necessitating a hardware replacement of some sort that will take ages to sort out. I would recommend staying away and getting dell refurb with coupon (when available). Nothing but headaches

I've had the opposite experience at this price level.

Had a Dell inspiron years ago. Hinges broke (among other issues). Widespread inspiron issue that still exists to this day. Tons of reports on reddit.

Currently have an HP pavilion from several years back. Hinges still in perfect condition. Much fewer issues.

Note, I'm comparing apples to apples here because the inspiron and pavilion lines are at the same price level.

Everyone makes a cheap/crap version laptop. But there's a reason Lenovo and HP has taken over the (business class) laptop market.

Yes, when purchasing the RAM can be upgraded to either 12gb($30) or 16gb($70) and SSD can be upgraded to either 512mb($40) or 1tb($120).

Thank you. But I should of been more specific. I mean after you purchase it, can you upgrade them yourself at a later time?

You could back in 2022 for the HP Pavilion EG series. Not sure if anything has changed for 2023.

Msrp of 900? They stupid? This is a 500 laptop at most with 8gb ram using 4gb ram sticks may be 900 10 yrs ago instead.

This sounds like a tax scam by vendors.

8gb makes this worth 200 bucks. I luckily I think ram is upgradable throw the 2 ram sticks away they are worth 10 bucks each.

Go buy either 16gb or 2 8gb for 30 bucks.
If there are ram slots essentially making this 30 -40 bucks higher and true price is 450 after taxes. Making this deal not good at all
