Ikea has increased their prices so much that its not worth it anymore. Only buy when they have a huge discount.
Ikea used to be value store. Now it's just another import store with odd ball pricing. I just wish companies just sold stuff at same price instead of all the marketing dance

I made my purchases at 9:43 pm PST and received $35 off each order so the sale didn't expire at 11:59 EST. Picking up today and seeing if they will let me change tender type as I received the eGC this morning at 6 am.
The $35 off didn't, but discounted items went back to full price.

Edit: Success via phone support. The full call took 36 minutes, about 10 of it was on hold, 3 explaining the issue, and the rest placing the order. They took my order and I got a payment link via email where I could enter all 4 of my GC/bonus GC and my CC for the remainder. She said she will issue a $35 credit after the purchase processes. We'll see.
FWIW. Just got off the phone with CSR. They sent me to the resolution/retention department. Explained that I was supposed to get cyber monday $20 off my order last night if GC arrived in time but didn't receive the digital cards until about 6am PST today, over 9 hours later. While being on the phone, she had me place my order with only gift cards and then she would have a $20 GC sent to me after taking note of my order number. Ended up being on the phone for an hour and because of the long wait, she is sending me $30 GC instead of $20. $30 GC isn't exactly $20 off my order like it could have been but better than nothing I suppose. Perhaps not worth the 1hr wait though....let's see how long this $30 GC takes to be delivered...

Maybe I got lucky? My item wasn't on sale, I just wanted to take advantage of the cyber monday Ikea family discount of 10% (I think it 7.5% had I checked out as a guest last night).
I simply called 1-888-888-4532. I talked to a CSR, explained what happened and asked what they can do for me to apply the 10% off. They said they can't do it but would transfer me to the resolution department and they might be able to help. I spoke to a nice woman who understood the situation and said she can give me the $20 off. It took so long to get things sorted out including how the "credit" would come back (either via the same GC I used or CC if I split payment between GC/CC) that after an hour later, she said she doesn't usually do this but she decided to give me a $30 credit in the form of a GC, which has yet to arrive. I'll have to keep an eye out for it. Perhaps it won't arrive until after the order ships. Hope this helps. It only took 1 call but depending on who you talk to YMMV.

You literally missed my point. It's not good for the consumer or resellers. And your right, not everything is side hustle. But when your broke like, me and stuck in shitty economy, you have to make money somehow.

Thank you for this! I was talking to them and played it off like this happened like a year or so ago to me and this was the solution - rep was able to do the same, but actually took $35 right there and then off of the payment. Hope you get your refund too!
Also finally found a rep via phone willing to help. Resolution was 3 $35 gift cards for my 3 orders instead of the instant discount. Not the same - but I'll take it
