If you are at all technically inclined I would go with something from Silhouette. The Cricuit web based software is slow, complicated, and pushes purchases on you. Silhouette Studio is native and has lots of technical features that give you tons of control, but there is definitely a steeper learning curve.
You can always design on Silhouette Studio (it's free) and import then print from Cricut Design Space.

I never had any idea what these things were... but the pretty colors lured me in and I read up on what it does and I wanna do that stuff. I'mma buy this bundle and make some goofy stickers and stuff.

N41 Thanks! I've been waiting on a price drop for months and this bundle is a no brainer! I'll be using to make stickers and spark my creativity. This will be my Christmas present to myself.

I got this when one Walmart in my area had this on clearance for $150 about a year ago. I thought it was really strange that only the one store had it on clearance

I've owned this machine since it came out and it's come in so clutch. You can buy Sharpie or Posca pen adapters on Etsy if you don't like the cricut pens, the blades can be swapped out but I've had my original blade on hundreds of projects without having to replace it yet, and I tend to find tons of vinyl rolls at thrift stores for like $1-4 a roll. I think it's perfect and I honestly wouldn't even upgrade unless it breaks one day. You do need a $10 month cricut subscription to unlock its full potential but that's not a deal breaker for us since we use it so much. Look for a used Silhouette locally if you don't wanna be locked to a monthly subscription.

Dies the basic software allow you to swap out pen colors for a drawing? Or is that only available in the paid subscription? I would like to draw something with 3 different color pens. Does it automatically prompt you to switch out the pen when the next color is up?
