Yup I would compare it to QRevo more. But I get why people like this one
I would as well, but Roborock really gimped the object detection capabilities on the Revo and S7 Max Ultra(not to be confused with the MaxV) by removing the flanking line lasers. If I had to pick between the Revo and L10s, I think this robot is the better buy.
The L20 hasn't been out long enough to gain traction yet, but looking at the features it does appear to be a step up from Roborocks offerings right now, including the S8 Pro Ultra and s7 Max
The Max has been gimped and I'm sad to see Roborock offering it as the final updated form of the S7 line(MaxV has the better sensors).
The L10s is more of a cross between the S7 MaxV and Q Revo since it has the RGB camera and lasers for object detection, but is missing the extra camera gear and light for poorly illuminated areas that's found in the MaxV.
Additionally just like Roborock, the Dreame's can also be flashed to run Valetudo Home Assistant if you wish to disconnect it from the cloud.
I'll be finding out this week if the MaxV is worth the $200 premium over the L10s
Yea this would be more comparable to the Roborock Q Revo. At $567 and no tax seems like a great deal compared to the Q Revo which cost me $674 plus tax ($732 total). I am thinking of returning the Q Revo and getting this. Only thing I am concerned about is the 30 day return vs all the way to the end of January on Amazon.
I got mine a few days ago and have been using it a lot to mop floors. The mopping is excellent so far, but the object avoidance isn't so great as other reviews have stated.

You buy both or currently have one? I just picked up the MaxV hoping it is all they say it is.
Bought this last time around. Was debating between this and the Q Revo. Works well so far, really like the spinning mop pads and the edge cleaning (it does a little booty twerk towards the edge). Also has a camera so I can check on my cat. The "vacuum then mop" function is very useful as well.
I did a good amount of research between this and the Q Revo, the Q Revo lifts the mop pad higher and no camera and that's about it. If you want more privacy and have thick rugs then go with the Q Revo. I have lvp and low pile rugs and even then the mop pad still touches the rug when it pass by.
I heard roborock will not roll out the edge cleaning function in the US. So that's something to consider.
Also Dreame is a sister company to Roborock. Tech is nearly on par. The mi home app works with both. But you get more functionality for the L10s with the dreame app.

Go on Reddit subreddit RobotVacuums and search. Problems with water tank, cleaning procedures, also the fact that the water stays inside is a cause for mold in future.
whats wrong with it? been using it for a week without issues... i even tried clean out the water on the plate with the build in cleaning /water suction and it worked fine.,.. can you be more specific on where the mold is at?
the only problem i encountered so far is object detection in dark.. it works but would work better with some lights

I'm deciding between the two now. I was going to pull the trigger on the Q Revo because it seems like more reviewers recommend it. I haven't seen any recommendations for this one, but those lists probably aren't considering the I10s Ultra at this price. I might need to flip a coin to decide.
I ended up getting the Dreame L10 Ultra (without the S) for $470 after 5% Chase/Paypal cashback. The L10 doesn't have the RGB cameras but I don't really mind, in fact it's one less Chinese made IoT camera in the house: https://petapixel.com/2022/12/21/...-facebook/

Those problems were likely caused by older firmware. I think it had some problems when it first came out.
If this is the S7 MaxV you're talking about? https://www.ebay.com/itm/40419354...109be00INT
It's currently out of stock. It's refurbished, as oppose to NEW like the Dreame. Also the dock is a significant downgrade compared to the Dreame that empties and fill the water tank and cleans the mop. This makes the L10s a MUCH better buy at this price than the s7 Maxv, IMO.

One reason I am going with the S7 over the L10s that I have not seen mentioned is that the water tank on the robot itself is removable. Having a place where water goes that cannot be manually cleaned with hot water and soap worries me as it seems ripe for mold or it eventually clogging due to mineral/deposit buildup. And the thought of moldy water being spread across my floors grosses me out.
A big reason I went with the S7 is the water tank on the bot is removable and washable. Since it doesn't seem to be on the dreamebot (the bot itself, not the dock), I won't be able to clean it and I can see mold becoming an issue or it clogging due to hard water/deposits. I really don't want moldy water being spread around my house.

I watched a lot of reviews and ultimately performance is very close on q revo, s7 maxv ultra, and L10s ultra. There are a few specifics unique to each, but none of them applied to my home needs (and seemed pretty minimal anyway). This price is what sealed the deal on my choice.

Before reading your comment, I went with the Revo...but I'm not confident in my decision. The post above yours and the Newsweek article made me nervous. Also, Vacuum Wars gave the Revo the best performance score, which seems important.
However, I've never had a robot with good obstacle avoidance, so I'm unsure how much value that has. When my current robots get caught on something or jammed, 90% of the time, it is caused by legos. Is the L10s able to avoid these? My assumption is no since they are so small.

Also 1 year warranty vs 2 year warranty.
