I love this card so much. I use PayPal to purchase almost everything I buy online which using this card gets you 3% back as well as 2% on everything else. The cash back goes straight towards my bill. Honestly my favorite card I use for 90% of my purchases. I have about 10 different store credit cards that get me 5% off every purchase at those specific stores (Amazon card for Amazon, Lowes card for Lowes, Academy for Academy), so any other purchase I'm at least getting 2-3% cashback minimum with this one. I use this card for my utility bills as well, might as well save money on what you have to pay for anyways. No annual fee. 10/10 Would highly recommend.
I have used this card a long time ago to pay my property taxes (City of Denver, CO accept payment by CC without fee) to get back 2% save over $200 per year. My US CC get 5% for ultilites but sometimes I used this card because the way to reimburse the reward is very goood. It can be credit to account, deposit to paypal then transfer to my bank, no minimum ($25) required and only credit to account like US bank

I've never known of being able to use PayPal for any in-store purchases.
Yeah the PayPal app has a "Show to pay" function that generates a QR and bar code that you can scan in stores to pay. The merchant payment system needs to offer the ability to take the Paypal payment. Wal-Mart used to be able to do that - there was a "Paypal" option on the register checkout.

I agree with the previous poster that this isn't really a "deal" without the $200 sign-up bonus.

Is this possible when using GPay in-person, or only when using GPay online?

Note this card is underwritten by Synchrony, and I have not had good experiences dealing with their customer service. But the good thing is most stuff just works from the PayPal website.

This is a really good credit card but the transactions don't import automatically using Plaid, unfortunately.

Had the same problem. Ended up forgoing the additional 1% via PayPal and just use the Citi double cash now

Need to fulfill some criteria for 5.25% with BofA, it depends on one's situation. Also it has limits of $2500 per quarter....but I have 4 BofA card so most of the time, no need to worry about maxing out hahaha.

most of utility bills charge certain convenient fee for using credit card as payment though

Not if the utility is available in PayPal bill pay. My electric company charges a fee for credit cards. I pay them with PayPal and earn 3% back with no fee.

I've had this card for about 2 years. The 3% cash back is nice but PayPal seems to oppose some weird (in my opinion) policies on this card.

My credit limit is $3k (which is pretty low compared to most of my other cards but whatever)…

Next, I'm a big spender on travel so I wanted to try and maximize as much of the 3% and/or 2% cash back as possible. I could easily spend between 2k-10k depending on the month.

No biggie, I figured I'd just pay the balances off as the charges post. However, I ran into the PayPal weird policies I mentioned above. PayPal will not update your available credit for 6 to 12 to 21 business days at a time.

I've contacted them multiple times and they informed me due to my inconsistent payments and that it's an automatic internal system they have no control over. This makes no sense to me…I've done this for every other card under the sun without any issues (wherever I've had a relatively low credit card limit).

My guess is they want to limit how much cash back they shell out and it's ingrained in this bs practice.

You can search online that there are a lot of people that have similar issues.

Otherwise, despite being called a "World" card; there *are* foreign transaction fees.

Aside from those two things, 3% on PayPal integrated payments is nice.

I stopped using the card altogether because of the available credit bs they kept pulling.

Edit: fat fingered; 3 years changed to 2 years

Interesting....I didn't know one can use pay bill in PayPal. But feel a bit weird that not paying directly to utilities company, and looks like I have to enter amount by myself (at least for the utilities I have). so Paypal is sending a ACH transfer to utilities or?
