Is this possible when using GPay in-person, or only when using GPay online?

I have never used Gpay in person but for all online Gpay it worked for me. Though there is nothing saying that it wouldn't work

One of my favorite cards. They also approved me pretty early on in my credit history with a pretty healthy credit limit. For that, I use this card with all of my generic purchases I don't have another specific card (and bonus) for.

most of utility bills charge certain convenient fee for using credit card as payment though
I have the PayPal card, Just paid $266 water bill invoice using PayPal. yes, $1.75 fee charged, but do the math with the 3% cashback with the PayPal card vs 0% when paid with the bank account.

Bank of America Customized Cash card gives me 3% on Paypal
Citi Double Cash gives me 2.2% (extra 0.2% due to Rewards+)
Both don't have redemption limits so this credit card is a pass for me.

I use BofA card to get 5.25% cashback all the time...
You keep bragging about this in other threads........and keep leaving out the part where one of the requirements you need to get 5.25% is to keep a balance of $100K at Bank of America or Merrill.

Last time I tried to link PayPal for in-person GPay (this was a couple years ago), it only allowed debit cards to be used (or PayPal balance), not credit cards. At the time, PayPal+GPay online you could use either credit or debit. I thought maybe you were reporting that PayPal made an exception for their own credit card, to be used with in-person GPay.

How can you get the cash back without a PayPal account? PayPal banned me for life for accepting payment for legal, politically incorrect items. Will it just go to the the bank account that I pay the bill from?

This BofA card is better in every way, and gives 3 percent off on all online purchases, not just eBay. $200 sign up bonus too.

https://www.bankofamerica.com/cre...edit-card/ [bankofamerica.com]

Online shopping, including cable, internet, phone plans and streaming 3% cash back

Automatic 2% cash back at grocery stores and wholesale clubs
I like BofA Cash Rewards card a lot, not to say that I don't like PayPal and I use both depending upon the situation. What makes it even better is If you have 100k+ in cash or stocks) in Merrill or BofA, you are Platinum Honors [bankofamerica.com] and you get additional 75% cashback. I have my IRA at Merrill Edge and that gets me 5.25% on online, and the best part 3.5% at grocery/wholesale (Costco/Sam's/BJs) and 2.25% everywhere else.

For those contemplating using this to pay "Income Taxes", the card is notorious for having a low credit limit. I am saying like $3,000 credit limit!

An IRS tax payment will likely yield no more than $30 in cashback making this not worth your time and effort.

Paying your taxes with a credit card only makes sense if you are being paid $200+ sign up bonus. This card gives no bonus. There is an extra 1.9% fee for paying the IRS with a credit card.

Also the BOA card cashback capped at 2500 per quarter. That's 2500 * 5.25% = 131.25 per 3 month

Just want to point that out
