Is it still possible to use PayPal for IN-STORE Wal-Mart purchases. Through Wal-Mart Pay or via register interface? TIA
Yes, open the PayPal app and on the top, you see a QR code. Open it and show it to the register. Make sure you are paying using your PayPal Mastercard for the cashback.

I've had this card for about 2 years. The 3% cash back is nice but PayPal seems to oppose some weird (in my opinion) policies on this card.

My credit limit is $3k (which is pretty low compared to most of my other cards but whatever)…

Next, I'm a big spender on travel so I wanted to try and maximize as much of the 3% and/or 2% cash back as possible. I could easily spend between 2k-10k depending on the month.

No biggie, I figured I'd just pay the balances off as the charges post. However, I ran into the PayPal weird policies I mentioned above. PayPal will not update your available credit for 6 to 12 to 21 business days at a time.

I've contacted them multiple times and they informed me due to my inconsistent payments and that it's an automatic internal system they have no control over. This makes no sense to me…I've done this for every other card under the sun without any issues (wherever I've had a relatively low credit card limit).

My guess is they want to limit how much cash back they shell out and it's ingrained in this bs practice.

You can search online that there are a lot of people that have similar issues.

Otherwise, despite being called a "World" card; there *are* foreign transaction fees.

Aside from those two things, 3% on PayPal integrated payments is nice.

I stopped using the card altogether because of the available credit bs they kept pulling.

Edit: fat fingered; 3 years changed to 2 years
I had a really low limit to start, but after waiting 6 months I requested an increase and got nearly triple the original amount.

My only gripe is that it doesn't link up with Plaid like someone else mentioned.

I tried this yesterday. Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market, in-store, self-checkout. Opened PayPal app, got my PayPal pay with QR Code, tried to scan it into the Walmart register but found no way to do that. Just scanning the QR code with the barcode scanner did not work, neither did the hand-help scanner. There were no relevant buttons/UI options on the main screen nor the smaller credit card scanner machine. I do remember seeing something Paypal-related in the WalMart register UI a few YEARS ago but not with this newer checkout system that Wal-Mart implemented a year or two ago.

This BofA card is better in every way, and gives 3 percent off on all online purchases, not just eBay. $200 sign up bonus too.

Online shopping, including cable, internet, phone plans and streaming 3% cash back

Automatic 2% cash back at grocery stores and wholesale clubs

This isn't a good deal. PayPal is cashback. Boa is statement credit. PayPal is only card that allows you to get actual cash back and not have to use as a statement credit. PayPal savings also 4.3%.

The PayPal card, several years ago, used to be the only card that had 2% cash back on everything, no international transaction fee and no annual fee. To my knowledge, no current card has all three of those things. I would have preferred the old card's perks.

Boa is also cash back right to your BoA bank account if you wish.

Though I'm unclear what the real difference is in practice, you'd be needing to pay your statement balance with money FROM an account with cash in it anyway.

First transfer the money back to your checking account. Then next day send the money back to pay your credit card balance. Makes sense.

A few years back they cancelled my card and stole $1000+ I had in pending cash back. Always payed the card off in full before the statement. Synchrony Bank are thieves only interested in preying on fools who carry a balance

I had this card, and also the ebay master card had to stop using them, the limit was crap and when I pay the bill it took days for it to be applied to my balance. I guess it would work for people making small purchases.

Looks like BofA card 3% cashback caps out at $2500, thereafter it's 1%. PayPal card has no cap on 3% cashback.
