Did you have any extra fees added to your bill too? Someone else mentioned that they had $159 added even though they paid for the phone outright.

Guys, need your advice here. Ordered a 15 pro on 11/29. Received on 12/2. Opened and tried to setup IOS. Skipped the Apple id setup since this phone is for a friend. When i go thro next prompts, i am shown a screen where it asks me to activate an e-sim using,
1. Phone Number
2. QR code

Does this mean the phone has not been activated by Cox yet and so if i setup e-sim for T-mobile it may unlock the phone outright? I can always get it connected to Cox line via online or phone rep but before doing that i want to see if there will be any issues trying to activate my friend's existing T-mobile # on this new phone.

Anyone has come across this? Any Tips or downsides to my approach?

Today morning, during my conversation with Cox Mobile Customer Care Center, the representative insisted that the actual device price is $1479 for 15 pro max 256 gb, contradicting the initially stated price of $1199.After generating a first-month bill totaling $159, including taxes, he urged me to return the mobile if unwilling to pay the disputed $159 balance.he not ready to give the answers for why you charged $114 as tax for device price $1199 during the purchase and. Where they mentioned the device price is $1479,and he not giving guarantee if they change the base more in this month and will ask the customers to pay .. COx simply cheating the customers

It's not refundable.. now CC team saying actual device price is $1479(including taxes)but they changed only $1199 for 15 pro max 256 Gb,now they are asking us to pay the difference amount of $159(already paid tax amount $114)

You have to activate with Cox, not T-mobile, and if you want the number from t-mobile to be used here you need to port that number. Otherwise, this phone will have a new number when activated with cox and no, it will not be unlocked.

i just ordered last thursday. i takes them a day or two to make sure the credit charge isn't a fraud and then they will send you an email that the order is getting shipped. so total 3- 4 days to get the phone.

This is really worrying. My order is still not processed and I just wanted to check if anyone else has faced this similar type of issue?

To the people who ordered this or tried to order this today the original deal of $500 off expired yesterday. Looking today these phones are now listed as $300 off.

Even though I bought what's a brand new 1TB iPhone 14 Pro Max with AppleCare T&L thru next Septmeber at a great price a couple of weeks ago, this deal was too good to pass up so I bought a 512GB iPhone 15 Pro Max from Cox yesterday morning at 4 AM. Smilie Didn't want them to run out of them. I'll obviously have to sell my 14 Pro Max.

Listed for $899.99. Total cost was $1022 including tax. That's more than $500 off the $1399 original list when you figure the extra tax on the extra $500 original list price.

Hoping to get an email shortly that it's being shipped. Looking forward to using it to take some great photos and ProRes Log videos. Been watching YouTube videos on external drives to record to and other things. I have a 2TB Samsung T7 Shield drive which should work well.

Thanks for the shared info everyone, and especially thanks to the original person who listed this.

Which state is this? I logged into my COX account and checked the order confirmation, it's still saying $1199 for the 15 pro max 256GB and the correct amount of sale tax was added onto the total. On COX website, it still list that model is $1199. I would submit a formal complaint to your state department of consumer protection or better business bureau if COX dares to charge more than what's on my order confirmation.

That's disturbing. Where do you live? Looked this up and it may be for customers in rural areas. They mention this here, not the rural part I saw somewhere else. No one else has mentioned this. https://www.cox.com/residential/s...vices.html

As per the customer care they are charging this to all customers "High Cost Fund Surcharge
This surcharge is imposed on telecommunication providers in some states, and may be passed on to customers.
It is used to subsidize telecommunication service in high cost areas."

So far I see $10 activation charges
. I would like to know if "high cost fund charges" are coming soon as well. Why is Cox like this?
