You should include in the original post that you have to have COX internet service to take advantage of this deal. Phenomenal deal otherwise. Haven't seen a $500 off iPhone 15 Pro Max deal anywhere else yet.

Yes, locked to Cox. However, it can be unlocked after 60 days.

I talked to someone at cox about a week or two ago, they said your actually able to have another carrier line active while the cox is active too or something along those lines not sure what because I never asked and I'm also not trying it just waiting out the 60 days.

They finally placed an order for the 256 black pro, the last phone I'm waiting for, should ship out either tomorrow or Friday.
Thanks! Yeah, from what I've been researching it sounds like you can add another line to it. I have Verizon already, so I might try adding it to my new phone. I'll post an update if it works.

Edit: they already shipped out the phone, same day they placed the order and receiving it tomorrow.
Does this lock only one esim? Another esim can use other home services.
Another esim can use other services or only use the Verizon line.

I have no idea, my plan is just wait until it unlocks then use with tmobile. If that doesn't work I just sell the phone.

It appears the carrier lock applies to all esims:

So this didn't work unfortunately. I tried to transfer the phone number iva the iphone interface, but it said the phone was locked and I needed to contact my carrier (Cox). I finally reached someone at Cox that told me the phone does support multiple lines, but not while the phone was locked and that I would need to wait the 60 days.

Womp womp.

I know it's not perfect, you can just forward your old phone number to the new cox phone for 60 days. then unlock and transfer phone number over.

Oh interesting. Thanks, I hadn't thought of that.

What about iMessage? I won't be able to send from my "old" number on the new phone, right? Or can I?

I was curious if the discount was still present. I ended up placing an online order and it was declined by my credit card. Ended up calling in to place the order over the phone and they offered $500 on the 15 plus. Phone was delivered today. I called back yesterday and placed another order over the phone , the rep initially stated the discount was only for $300. I asked if he could double check the amount, a few minutes later he came back and applied the $500 discount on a 15 Pro model.

Same thing, forward the message over, again it's not perfect, but will do ok for 60 days.

So what's everyone doing with their phone for 60 days?
Start using it. Got my phone today. After 60 days, I plan to use 250$ ATT BYOD credit.

Dont think you will have much success with Cox (you can try though). However, if FedEx tried to deliver, they will typically place a door tag; you can use the door tag and collect it from their distribution center (if you have one nearby); and, I think they will make two more attempts to deliver. Not sure if these apply to this particular delivery but this is what I have done in the past with FedEx/UPS packages as most times I'm not home to collect packages.
Thanks. Just saw this. I received it the next day. The front outside door of my apartment building is locked, but the back door is open. The driver didn't leave a door tag which he should have. But I left a note with my phone number on both doors and actually encountered the next driver the next day and received the phone.

Just a heads up that I was told this morning the 60 day unlock period doesn't start with activation, rather the first time Cox data usage is detected (per customer rep). If you activated using wifi, I'd suggest switching to cellular and just do something that uses data. This sounds strange and is hopefully incorrect, but I did it just to be on the safe side.

Omg, I'll be pissed if this is the case. I've just used it on wifi.

I was also told to make at least a phone call so I did that as well.

Just a heads up I'm being charged more taxes on first month bill. $10 activation + $60 state tax (CA) + $12.5 county tax and some change. Previously I paid $577 for 15 Pro and I thought that was all 😂 and statement says I had $17 credit from that. It's a mess, can't understand how their maths works.
