This was originally my post, and SD staff transformed it - now it says the OP is Staff, they changed the description, and reposted my original description as a comment made "by me"
I don't put a lot of stock in fake internet points but that seems like an interesting way to handle people's deal posts... and seeing them create a comment using my account is pretty creepy, full stop
Edit: According to the mod response, this post was made first by staff, they merged my (apparently later) post with it, and then moved my description in as a comment. That at least makes some sense but still kinda odd seeing a comment that I didn't create.

That's what they're saying, and the timestamps seem to support it. They might consider some kind of a status of "combined thread" or something to make clear what happened.
It takes a bit of time to put together a good deal post (including checking for a repost, natch), so doing everything possible to give credit to those at least TRYING to help is a good thing on a system like this.
I agree, but you have been here since 2015, and I have actually been here since 2000 (different emails). This is ultimately not a social forum, but a commercial one, and the decorum here and the way users are treated have not improved...

Indeed. Their business model depends on user participation, simply due to the volume of deals posted, so one WOULD think they'd care a bit more.
An Affinity for less than a Bullit is slick. I have a seafoam Bullit that I got in a Labor Day sale around 10 years ago for $100. It was normally $200-$250 then. Decent guitar for the money. At $150, you can mod it up, get better tuners, and have a nice one for under $250-$300. I like my Squire.
Careful with lower-end squiers. They are ok if set up properly, but QC in their factory is lacking at the lower end in recent years. Better off with a Yamaha at this level. You get a better quality guitar, a bit more value and yamaha is known to have good quality control measures even at the lower end unlike many others at that level. They are typically ready to go out of the box where on the squiers you may have to have a music store do adjustments and pay for a proper set up.

My last experience with the Yamaha Pacifica at the 0xx and 1xx level wasn't great, but that was during COVID , when QC was crap in order to ship more guitars.
Got the mint green strat, a strap, and camo gig bag for $230. Yes I know I have to swap the neck, tuners, and pickups down the road. But hey it's Christmas to me! I'll kick it around and catch mods on sale.

I almost paid $799 and I'm glad I waited. I'm very pleased with the P-bass I just received.
Fat head. 21 frets. no maple choice on some = Needs Neck.
Poplar wood. = Needs Basswood; at least.
You'd be better off with a no name StratBay and added nut and tweaking it yourself.
Free shipping, high rated sellers. Vet them and their policies.
