Spyder is owned by Authentic Brands, which owns like 50 other similar companies like Airwalk. They are not Chinese though, not sure where you got that.

Man even the professional pics makes these look really low quality. It's also misleading as the code applies up to 60% but you have no way of knowing how much until you check out and even then it bundles the discount together instead of showing you how much each is individually. Really shady. Fist jacket only took off 30%, second item only 15%

Thats because it is now.. bought out by China years ago.. they had even sold in Kmart. To speak of how far quality dropped.


Used to be top brand. Now it's on par with any junk you would buy from Walmart. That's comming from someone who still.has a 30 year old spyder jacket back from when I was a ski instructor.

I bought a down hooded jacket 3-4 years ago and it has been great. I'd highly recommend it but not sure when they were bought out years ago.

I thought about getting a new one but really mine still works great. I can usually rock a T-shirt and this jacket and be comfortable 30'F-55'F. Lower than 30F I will need some more layers.

most important words are "up to". none of what I wanted went to 60% off. More like 25%. I love Spyder but this bait and switch crap is terrible.

Haven't looked at what's on sale here, and I am aware of how Spyder has fallen from 25 years ago when it was fairly top tier, but I will say I picked up this very *bold* Spyder jacket for my wife a year ago when it was posted here:

Company used to be great. Horrible now. Their lifetime warranty went away.

Save your money. Buy rei, patagonia, Columbia, north face, etc.

Still have mine. This sale is not nearly as good though.

I like my Spyder knits I've picked up over the years at Costco and enjoy the feel and warmth compared to other similar clothes in my closet. Add in those Gerry knits Costco had clearanced a few years ago, they both get more positive attention per dollar than I would have thought.
