Just an FYI. We had one of these for 15 months before it bricked due to a thermal fuse failure. This is a common issue with air fryers, and it ordinarily would be an easy fix. Unfortunately Gourmia tucked the thermal fuse in an area where it was encased with plastic that was pretty much impossible to disassemble. This was an intentional design choice by Gourmia that forces the customer to purchase a new unit instead of replacing a $3 fuse. I will not be purchasing another Gourmia product out of principle. It's not the 40 dollars I have a problem with. It's the intentionally making products that are designed to be disposable that I can't support.

I have no clue what the difference is but they're two separate products. Model number here is GAF734 and the Costco one is GAF798

purchased for store pickup, only available at a single location in my area, for company "dirty santa" gift exchange that had a $35 limit. I think i'mma "win" Smilie

EDIT: alas, just got the update notice that its no longer available in store. they offered to ship it, but wont arrive before Dec 5, too late for the party. Win some, lose some.

Got the 6qt for my parents on Black Friday from Kohl's for $32. The one thing I don't love about it is how much plastic makes up the cooking area body of thing thing. P2 has the Instant Vortex Plus 6-quart [instanthome.com] which is a stainless steel inside for the cooking space. Think there's any reason to have concern? We never heat up plastics for cooking/eating.

I just cooked a 20 lb turkey in one of these. It took 4 passes, but I got it done. My gas oven is on the blink. This thing actually worked quite well.

The vortex also looks like plastic inside. That is something i dont care for either.

it's been this price before at walmart. bought this and the french door one so i can compare the two and return one or both. i already have a toaster oven with convection and resisted the need for an air fryer but the price makes it tough to do that now.

I ended up returning mine for two reasons. 1. Toxic plastic smell. 2. Non-stick plate is in fact super sticky after frying chicken breasts or other lean meats. I had to scrub it after each use. My 2-year $40 Insignia from BB doesn't have those issues.
