yea, not 50% but still.
$170 more for something that's $50 more retail. single battery vacuum combo is a lot better deal.
The 9 gallon and from what I have seen in the store this 6 gallon version is just to bulky and cumbersome to carry around easily. The 2.5 gallon packout version is a REALLY handy little vacuum that is easy to cart around for little to medium sized clean up jobs. The 9 gal definitely has more suction power but the 2.5 gal has plenty of power for most jobs. When the 2.5 gal version isn't quite up to the job I find I use my 14 gal Ridgid 6hp plug in shop vac which has considerably more suction than the 2 battery 9 gal Milwaukee.
Both vacuums are very well made and should last a long time even with contractor-ish abuse.
The 9 gal, 6 gal, 2.5 gal and 2 gal versions all will take vacuum bags if you want to use them. I find vacuum bags excellent for keeping high suction from empty to full and I hate blowing out filters which plug WAY too fast when not using bags.
I am not a contractor. I am sure there are contractor / construction type jobs where this 6 gal and the 9 gal battery powered vacs are perfect. For the average home owner, weekend shop warrior I think the 2.5 gal is a better option.
P.S. My 2.5 gallon packout vacuum has been stolen. My daughter "borrowed" it to take to her dorm room to clean. I am "supposed" to have it back when she comes home in a couple of weeks for Christmas.
