I recently purchased the Softsoap Antibacterial Liquid Hand Soap Refill, White Tea & Berry variant, for $5.97, which is essentially the same price as Walmart's offering but slightly more than this deal. However, the quality was quite disappointing.

The consistency of the soap is alarmingly watery, leading me to suspect that water might have been added to artificially increase the volume. This significantly diminishes the handwashing experience. In contrast, the original Softsoap formula offers a rich and effective lather, making hands feel thoroughly cleaned and refreshed. Unfortunately, this White Tea & Berry variant falls drastically short. Its lather is so thin and liquid-like that it barely resembles soap at all.
For people with sensitive hands, dry hands, eczama, etc, Softsoap feels like liquid sand paper after using something like Meyers. The price is OK but I think Costco used to have these, maybe a bit smaller 2 for $7 with aloe and the white version supposed to have moisturizer.

Meyers soap is expensive but worth it if you have dry hands. Otherwise dove works well if you are OK with normal soaps. Soap bars are not evil like some people think.

Absolutely agree, bought this in April, and it's barely even soap anymore. It's water with a lil soap in it. Terrible quality.

Cheaper than Costco. Costco softsoap is getting ridiculous compared to what it was pre-covid.

Did you add the antibacterial refill to a container that was previously filled with regular/non-antibacterial soap? This is a common complaint if you mix the two. If you thoroughly rinse the container and pump before changing between antibacterial and regular varieties, that should alleviate the issue.

I also think the smell is overwhelmingly artificial for this scent.

I've been using this because it is cheap.

But now my marble sink top is getting damaged and rough (dissolving).

After some Google searching, turns out hand soaps that are highly acidic will start dissolving marble over time. Not a problem with granite, only marble.

Just a heads up if you have a marble bathroom, don't recommend this for that. Use something with a mild pH.

i got this last sale, it's more watery than most softsoap,
far more than the 80oz bottles of clear that costco sells.
the berry smell is mild which is a good thing.
i would not buy this again.

Think it depends on the acidity. I spilled a can of Pepsi on my kitchen countertop (granite) and wiped it clean. But months later it was like something chewed on it and left a big patch of cracks underneath. Good thing it that you can only see it but not feel it.

Wow someone noticed that softsoap antibacterial hand soap quality is questionable! My recent purchases from Costco and local grocery store had same problem. Too much watery. Seems like serious quality issue or adulterated product.
